The best way to get better at core animation is to do just that. Make a twenty+ second animation with only movements, you can even use your weapon, but stay away from effects.
All I saw in this animation was someone trying to cheat to get length. You seem to have a good understanding at what easing is, and your effects aren't that bad, but you need more work on basic movements before anything else.
