My english is really crappy so if u see a gramar error pliz just ignore it :3
Sup guys
I would like to read ur opinions about this...
I love animating, but college is comming and I´m a bit scary of quiting in a 100% of animating. The deal is this: I wanna study architecture, but here in my country is very expensive if I pay for a private college and my parents and I decided to enter (me, obviously) to a national college; the only one here that teachs arquitecture, and it has da hardest admission exam of latin-america, so I really have to focus on classes and that crap to run after my dream
What I want u guys is tell me:
1.-If u r in college and u are animating at the same time, write ur expierence below
2.-If u r not in college yet but ur thinking of getting in, what is going trouhght ur mind right now?
3.-If ur are in college and studing something like animtion or movie stuff, write ur experince too
I would love to see ur comment guys, pliz dont left this topic in blank

Is college a reason to quit animating?

I'm a full time university student, I work part time (~15 hours a week), I have a social life, and I animate.
It comes down to how you prioritize the things you do.

Same, and agreed. (Besides the working part :P) It all comes down to time management, because unless you're going to be working a 50+ hour job on top of being in university, you'll usually have some free time on your hands. The trick is to make the best use of that time.

Lol this is my last year of school, and I was kinda scared too, I love animating and I don't want to quit because of college, but I know it depends just in your time organization

I got 4-2 years until college (I am planning to finish a few subjects early), and I'm studying media, so I don't have to worry about that, but best thing to do is just use your free time. If you can make time to hang out with friends during school days, then you definitely can make time to animate, besides you got weekends. oh and remember, study day by day, so that it won't all pile up and take all your time.

I still have a while till I go to college
But my suggestion would be plan out your schedule everyday, whenever you have nothing to do you could make an animation or two but you'll have to make that time(like get projects done ASAP which will probably give you loads of time)

architecture is one of those majors that will probably require a lot of time from you. you'll have to lock yourself in studios for long times building models and such. but that's no reason to quit animating. if you have free time, and nothing to do, start animating. keep it as a hobby. i've made an animation and song for an english project so it can always come in handy.

I agree with this. I stopped animating before college, but with my new hobbies, interests, and responsibilities I don't think I could do it more than a couple times a week. If you love it though, a couple times a week is plenty of times a week
