I am a tad bit afraid of heights, but I can fight that. What I am afraid of, though, is high places with water under - bridges and such. I can't walk even close to the edge of the bridge, no matter what the railing is. If I look down from the bridge, I lose balance and coordination. I don't know the Latin name of the phobia, but I'd guess it's a genuine phobia.
