Friday night when i went to sleep.
I had a dream of myself killing my own dad.
I awoke in tears, i was happy that he was still alive and that it was only a dream...
But I was sad that i would even dream of something like that in the beginning!
What are dreams?
Are they just a figment of your amagination that plays with your emotions?
Or are they something more?
Have you ever had a dream that made you cry when you woke up?...
Dreams... What are they?

Well they can mean the future sometimes, they can display what you have to do and what you mustn't do, or what will happen and you cant change it, my mother had a dream of her friends dying and lots of her friends died some time after. But some dreams can be rubbish nonsense.

I take naps frequently during the day, I've had some crazy dreams, sometimes I've dreamed about something and then something happens the next day related to what I was dreaming about. (Eg. Once something about a squid then I went to an aquarium the next day and they had a squid there) But I always see them as coincidences, I don't believe in anything super-natural.

same thing has happen to me Rosie(except that it wasn't about aquarium/squid) I've dreamed something and then it happen the next day or sometime later the year, i remember i dreamed i was holding a violin but at the time i didn't even play the violin
nor that i had in mind to start playing it, but then later the year i started playing the violin and i stood excaly as i saw i stood in my dream, lol also I've found a documentary about why we dream

I usually dream about things I am interested in the most, for example i had been nagging my dad to get me an xbox for a while, and then i had a dream that i actually had one. The dreams are so vivid i sometimes mistake them for reality, and I feel like a bitch when i wake up..

I Used to (Still am) dream about some random moments in my life, i see someone's face and then i meet the person, but i have not enough concentration to remember them, if i would i could predict what would happen, oh well

Dreams have nothing to do with the future lol. They are just scenarios played out in the brain while in REM sleep. I have been passivly trying to lucid dream for the last month or so. It's weird, just the thought of wanting to do it has made me have more dreams.
Anyway, I momuntarily did it last night for one of the first times. I was running through a field of grass really quickly, and I could jump further than normal. Suddenly I realized I was dreaming. I realized that I could control what I was doing. I don't know how I realized I was dreaming, it wasn't anything significant in my surroundings and I don't remember thinking "hey, that's not right!". I just remember going "... oh yeah, this is a dream hey.. " in my head. I could only control it for about 10 seconds though. I tried desperately not to loose the dream, but the dream changed into something else where I was unaware I was dreaming.
Maybe it's because the grass in the park seemed greener and longer than usual. I was looking down at the grass when it started. I think eventually I will learn to do this all the time. Will be awesome.
I must say though. When you do realise... it's not like normal dreaming. Everything is much clearer and you can move much more freely.

I think I read somewhere that lucid dreaming can be extremely dangerous or something.

2 or 3 days back I had a lucid dream too. I realized it was so by pinching myself in the dream and guess what? IT DIDN'T HURT.
I remember I was flying in that dream. Man it was awesome!

A lot of the time, pinching yourself in a dream does actually hurt.

Really? I read somewhere that it's actually a trick to trigger lucid dreaming. But I still remember it didn't hurt at all. It just felt like I was pulling my skin softly or just holding it.

I always dream crazy non-sense things
I think I've dreamed Normal things like... 4 or 5 times in my entire life, rest of them are, full action-insane dreams xD
They are awesome tough =D. The best thing is when I can control my own dream, when i decide what'll happen and I can summon random things if I want xD. I don't know if someone else has been able to do this, or it's just my crazi little and silly mind :3.

Quote from JeehoonDevilI think I read somewhere that lucid dreaming can be extremely dangerous or something.
the most it'll do will make you tired, cause your brain is more awake if youre lucid dreaming
