I actually just got around to picking this up. im level 70ish right now, and I'm actually loving the game. it's definitely a game where caution is key. It not as difficult as many people hype it up to be, but still absurd when you're not prepared. the average enemies are more of a threat than any of the bosses I've faced, especially when you get surrounded by accident.
my most bullshit moment so far had to be when I made it to the bottom of blight town, went the wrong way, got poisoned AND ambushed by rock ogres before I had a chance to light the bonfire. another one was in double boss in Anor Londo, that one took a couple attempts.
possibly the coolest moment so far was the boss fight against Sif the great gray wolf. the thing was just cool as hell looking and completely intimidating. not too hard though.
I love how a lot of the monsters are just so F'd up looking. reminds me a good deal of Berserk.
