So for an animation I plan on making it requires my character to go into a super speed mode kinda like Mr. Reds. But I don't know how to make the effect. So if anyone knows how to do the effect let me know.

I know how to do this, i use it in fast kicks combos.

First animate what u want to put the Heat Haze (the speed effect) after it select all the frames of the combo and copy it, create a new symbol with Graphic, paste the frames inside it, go back to the time line and create 2 or more new layers, put the graphic of the combo in the time line BUT one frame delayed, put in the properties the option Advanced and click Edit, do the collor u want, mod the alfa rate, always if u put more hazes u will do one more delayed frame always in a other layer (optional)

And the best part... Be happy and enjoy what you have created x]

Tip, if u dont understant, tomorrow i will do a tuto to you =]

It's a pretty easy to execute effect, but looks really good when done right. I got it on my own without any help :3

copy the frames you want into a speed effect and put it into a MOVIECLIP symbol. Then add another layer and add the movie clip 1 frame after the speed attack has started. alfa it till satisfaction and tint it to whatever colour you want.

nah that depend if u wanna do the blur filter on it xD but how i dont enjoy to put filters in the heat haze effect and to dont export the swf to see how this is going i use graphic x)

this depend of the animator =), i preffer graphic and you Movie Clip this will be diferent with some animators hehe
