if youve been looking around, bullying has apparently become a big problem. kids have been committing suicide from the mere act of "teasing".
i find it silly that they would have such low tolerance to something so simple. im aware there are also events of people being beat up and physically tormented but ive read that a girl amanda todd (youve probably heard of her) killed herself just because people had been teasing her about a topless picture of her that had been sent around.
i later read a post from a guy that knew amanda todd and said that this wasnt the full story. she apparently had consistent acts of being a slut and acting whorish.
and when the teasing started she also started lashing out and being very mean to everyone else and this is why they began to despise her so much and really be cruel to her.
anyways, what im getting at is, could she really not handle the teasing? could it have that much of an effect on a person?
ive never been bullied (not to large extents atleast) but i couldnt imagine with my strong will and high self confidence to ever let insults and teasing effect me no matter what it was about. please leave a post on if you think kids over react to bring themselves to these drastic measures or if it really is that big of a problem.

I think the problem here is two-fold. I think another big issue is that parents aren't raising their kids in a way that makes them resistant to, or able to deal with, people teasing them or bullying them. A lot of teen/child suicides have to do with trouble at home, neglect from parents, social pressures, self-confidence, and depression that don't necessarily have anything to do with bullying.

Seriously though, I don't understand the complete furor behind this case. It isn't like a simple, innocent girl was suddenly sucked into a vortex of bullying. This was certainly a girl who had attracted (and enjoyed) a certain amount of provocation towards herself that ballooned out of control.

i think highly-scented made a good point! i couldnt imagine myself being bullied to death because i had a very stable but stimulatingly difficult childhood. just enough to make me strong willed to not be bothered by bullying but not so confident to bully others. perhaps i have been effected by bullying with out caring enough to notice. ive been called names and even been told i should go die because no one likes me. but i knew that wasn't true so i carried on. i strongly agree it helps to have a stable up bringing.

yep, when people kill themselves because of bullying, the bullying isn't a DIRECT cause (most of the time). It just aggravates an already existing issue. We need to treat the cause of the problem, not the symptoms.

What is the furthest anyone here has gone while bullying someone?

everything depends on how are you raised in your childhood, I've been bullied, insults and beats everyday, even tough my family didn't know about this, I was able to overcome that by myself (and then thnanks to my mom, she stopped bullying me..... At least not that much) After that she continued like 2 more years, then she just stopped, because i didn't paid attention to her

The second step it's to forgive the person who bullied you, you'll not live in peace if you have a hate to the person that bullied you like that, then when i forgive her for what she did, I could finally overcome that situation 100% ..... Yeah it required 4 years of my life, but now I can live in peace :3
