So I'm back with a shameless plug. I've pretty much only been working on beats lately, mostly because I learned parallel compression and I just like fucking around with it a bit, but my friend asked me to make him a beat for his youtubez so went on a bit of a spree after. Here's some shit I've been working on. It's pretty minimalist because it's dat hip-hop and ya don't stop yo

Open Wide: Digging it. I like the trip feel that you added to it. Adds on to the slow pace that the song flows with.
San Diego Derby: A nice gritty touch. For some reason I feel it to be a good beat for when freestyles break out.
Jason's Xbox: I really like how unique this one is. But to be honest out of the three this one is my least favorite. It's hard to picture it as a beat for anyone to follow since the quick and repetitive game beats are already a tough notch to follow anyway.
Regardless I haven't really heard from you about anything, Gav. But I'm hoping that you're using this talent of yours to get somewhere. The quality of stuff I'm hearing from you honestly to me is on the same level of the hip-hop that I listen to (and I'm picky with my shit when it comes to hip-hop).

It's the same with me on my writing. I get the whole problem of finding inspiration to get into your zone.
But once it kick starts, man it kick starts.
