Don't you guys think you might be overreacting just a tad? How about we just wait and see what Disney does?

I think everyone seems to have forgotten that Disney bought Marvel back in 2009. What's come out since then?

I think it's because Kingdom Hearts is owned by Disney and Square Enix
(know that expand the FF characters in KH)

You guys are overreacting. Disney bought Marvel, that gave them the funding to basically own the box offices. Disney also funds the creation of Gravity Falls, possibly one of the best television cartoons to come out on TV in years. As long as the people Disney puts behind these various projects are good people, then we will get good results. Lately Disney has not been stepping in to make things more "kid friendly". I'd like to see where this goes

Disney has some awesome shows like Avengers:EMH(which to me is pretty bad ass and is in par With the JLA from cartoon network),kick butowski(ok i guess) and gravityfalls.Lets not forget the also made Recess and Fillmore(best school based show ever).

Eh, couldn't give less shits.
As long as Disney stays away from Anime.
They tried that shit with Naruto Shippuden, worst decision ever, for one of the worst anime's ever.

LucasFilms will still make movies their way. Obviously Disney can put some pressure on them and say "Make 10 more Star Wars films" but I doubt Disney will exert any creative control over the content. If they wanted to do that, they could buy the franchise and not the company.

Remember Disney also owns Miramax films which has made all of Quentin Tarantino's ultra-violent, profanity laced movies from Pulp Fiction to Kill Bill to Inglorious Bastards. We didn't see anyone Disney-fying that. If anything, Lucas has 100 times the influence over Disney execs that Tarantino has.

They bought it from Lucas, the only part he's playing with the new Star Wars now is creative consultant.

It's surprisingly good. I thought I would hate it but I absolutely do not. I was reading a bunch of shit from the creator of it and Disney is just letting him do his thing within reason. He wants to break all the cliches of writing like having clones be evil (hence the clone episode not sucking).

He still can, and will, raise a massive PR stink if they fuck it up.

Maybe if they don't do it his way, my point was more that I don't think they're going to fuck up the new movies because Lucas ISN'T controlling every aspect of it. The first 3 movies are generally regarded as the best because Lucas didn't have 100% control and his retarded decisions and ideas were constantly challenged. The last 3 were written and directed almost entirely if not completely by Lucas himself, and we ended up with a cartoon rabbit. You can see behind the scenes videos where Lucas is talking to his staff about certain ideas, and the ideas are clearly fucking stupid, but he's still laughing about them, so everyone else around is also laughing really nervously as if they didn't want to get fired for challenging him. With Lucas out of the way, I kind of actually have hope. A new hope.
