Name a book/book series that you read. Rate it out of 10 and state it's genre. Describe it and name some other books that are similar to it if you can.

The Maze Runner books (3 books).
7.5/10
Science fiction/Adventure
They are similar to The Hunger Games

The Cat in the Hat
11/10
Fantasy/Mystery
A poetic book about a cat that loves to party with random stranger kids. I would also suggest The Cat in the Hat Comes Back, with similar themes.

I read this the other day http://filer.case.edu/dts8/thelastq.htm and it was so cool. It's a short sci-fi story by Isaac Asimov.

Animal Farm
10/10
Allegorical
One of my favourite books to read.
For anyone who doesn't know, it's about farm animals rebelling against their cruel farmer, Jones, which was written to represent the Russian Revolution.

My favorite book.
It's a graphic novel/fantasy/adventure
About three cousins far away from home, in a valley with no escape, trying to free the valley's villagers from the threat of the monsters in the dark. I fucking cried it was so good.

Read that... good series. Cool ending although some of the content was a meh. And some of the characters were completely strange. What exact species were the cousins That was pissing me off through the entire seires.

The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. It's one damn depressing book but it's very deep as well. It contains a series of short stories of how the soldiers of the Vietnam war were feeling, how they were dealing with the torment and burdens of the war and things like that. 8/10

The Digital Fortress By Dan Brown. It's the guy who wrote the Da Vinci Code. It's a really awesome suspense/action book. If you're into solving crimes and computers and stuff, you'd like this book. 9/10

The Spartan Quest series by the British Author Michael Ford. This series is my favorite of all time. The novels are very engaging, the settings in the classic Spartan era are described wonderfully and it's got some real meaning behind it about surviving back in the hard times of the Spartans taking over so many parts of Greece and treating multiple cultures like shit. 10/10 (seriously).

Currently reading a book called "The Invisible Company" by Scott Russel Sanders. Pretty much no one has ever heard of this book. You can barely find it mentioned anywhere on the net. It's weird.

Good book though.

Sure, you're entitled to your own opinion, as am I. That's how I feel about it, I'd probably drop it down to a 7.5/10 at the most after reading your rant there. I'm not much of a suspense person so I wouldn't know too much about how it compared with others or how it's supposed to be. Aaand I don't own or haven't read any other Dan Brown book before this one.

I just finished reading The Giver, for the first time, by Lois Lowry.
I kept hearing about how good a book it was, so I read it. I liked it a lot as a short read --I finished it in 2 days. It's about a community that tries to keep everything and everyone perfect and equal. It's more than that, but I won't spoil it for you if you haven't read it. It is a bit ambiguous.

The Giver is awesome. It's like if the community in Hunger Games relinquished all emotion and put everything into fate.

You should totally read the other two books. In case you didn't know, it's first of a trilogy.

I heard that it was, but I heard that the next two were not as good and were more like hippie stuff, not that I really know what that means.
I cannot really see how there could be a sequel anyway.
Are they worth reading?

The Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. Fantasy-ified WWI, with fabricated beasts for the Allies, and robots n' things for the Axis.

That is an interesting short story.
He was being sardonic towards people who believe in God, right?
