You've probably seen in the RHG section (if you visit it that is) that there are countless numbers of RHGs with swords. Is this because swords are easy and/or fun to animate? Or are such a large amount of people heavily inspired by FL? Or is it because people are running out of ideas? Sure there are some original ideas out there but as far as most sword wielding characters go, their particular one is unique in some way, whether it be that their character made it out of some type of special and possibly non-existent alloy; whether it's given to them by a god/some higher power or whether they've discovered it somehow. So, why do you think that there are so many of these sword RHGs? Explain.

Yoyo blades huh? That's what I meant. Think about it. Blades, mixed with Yoyos. You take a couple of blades or swords, doesn't matter, and you mix it up with something. That's what I was saying in the first post. And 2-D/Eviltie, yeah that's true to a certain extent. I'm not saying you should be desperately original, what I'm saying is, why blades and swords and things like that except for the fact of inspiration from TV?

Probably because swords are one of the easiest weapons to design and animate with.
Some people are inspired by terk though, I'm certain of that.

My RHG has 3 anti-gravity swords that levitate close to him. it's one thing when your weapon is Just a sword it's another when the sword has some kind of ability or special aspect to it. It's an entire different story when it's a diffrent concept mixed with said weapon. And as I had mentioned in a post ahwile ago. This community's level of creativity has shot down the drain.

Because it's one of the most famous badass weapons ever.

Why don't people just try something new like a triple barrel energy shooting shotgun *oh wait, I already took that idea* lol. Swords are easier to animate but at the end of the day, I don't want to be called a rip off of terkoiz.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with swords, but why so many? Coz it's easier huh. Isn't that a bit boring? Being unoriginal in different ways can be more....original than swords with the bonus of it being easy. Like an RHG with just one simple power, like super strength for instance, or lighting manipulation all on their own. Sure that's not original at all but it sure as hell beats having to animate a guy with the same object with countless uses of the rotation tool or whatever the technical term is in Flash.

Because we want to animate with swords :D its fun for me to animate swords :D

Something to keep in mind about swords is that there's actually a wide variety of them.

Rapier
Broadsword
Gladiolus
Katana
Short Sword
Long Sword

Then you can play around with duel wielding and having shields. I can almost guarantee that I can get called out on this, but there's a lot more variety of them, then say a spear or scythe. Just my two cents.
