We all just live on a tiny speck being carried around by a giant elephant named Horton.

Why is global warming happening? Horton is walking through a desert.

He was giving his opinion. JUST LIKE YOU ASKED HIM TO. This isn't a debate section for nothing, we are supposed to disagree.

You called him a thing. That's funny.

I just find it amazing how you can call your god loving.

One more post like that and you can take a week off.

Yeah. We don't want to piss people off.
But wait.. The title is "Different Religions." But the starting post seemed to talk about "Churches" and "what my friends told me."
And, any religion I know with a higher being that loves, is "God."
So I said some shit about Christianity.

Other religions? Any religion I could see a good experience from is Buddhism. But, it teaches against hate. I don't think I could do it.

That's because you have a hate for all things that don't think like you.
We can't all be wonderfully awesome and wise like Krob, so he hates us for it.
Bagging on some religion isn't going to change anything, it just makes you look like an asshole.

Do me a favor. Go through the forum, and look at all the times someone else has bashed Christianity.

I don't see what's wrong with "bashing" somebodies beliefs. If they believe it, what somebody else says shouldn't effect them, so saying it would mean nothing.
After all, if they're allowed that belief, the "basher" has his belief of what it truly is, surely he's allowed to state it?

Well first off, there's a difference between intolerance and a gap of beliefs.

Krob was being intolerant; he was not tolerating someone elses beliefs. He scoffed at the fact that someone elses' views about a higher being were not similiar to his. Infact, the post I muted was down right uncalled for.

And yes, trolling is also against the rules. No one wants someone to challenge them on their opinion. Shit, religious debates always get dirty even with a general tolerance level.

First all, I was referring how he made it sound I was the first to bash a religion.

And, yes I bashed it. But when did I relate my beliefs to it?

How do you learn and evolve if your beliefs aren't challenged? People shutting themselves off from others opinions is what creates ignorance.

Religion is bullshit. So is Evolution. Just believe in something higher then you. Not a loving being. Some type of force maybe. My opinion.

Boom.

I know this might sound unrelatable, but what the hell.

It feels like religious debates end up with 1 Christian (or a religious person) attempting to defend himself from 3 or 4 other people trying to drown him until he says "uncle". I've had a talk with friends and teachers about religious views and those discussions honestly don't compare with what I've seen on this forum alone.

I actually used to be a Christian but I thought about it and looked through research of Gods and Spirituality and Everybody (*Aggressive Politicians and Speakers*) say that "they have the right the right religion." "Ours is the right one." No hate to anybody or their beliefs but I got sick of it and quit.

....and thats the story of How I Became Atheist. Next week's story, How I Lost My Virginity.

I've noticed that too. Religious debates are pointless once you've heard EVERY SINGLE ARGUMENT. Then it becomes personal opinion. That's why I am much less active in religious debates than I was not so long ago.

I became an atheist because of debates on this forum. I found out that I didn't know anything at all about different religions, and was casting judgment on those people I knew nothing about.

Then after awhile I realized that while being an atheist had brought me the freedom of my mind, I was pissed off all the time, and I was still casting judgment. It was never Christianity or atheism's fault that I was judgmental or ignorant. But it was my personality and susceptibility to each ideal, it was a character flaw. Which is an important lesson.

here is a good point, when you creat somthing, does that thing know what's it made out of ? for example would the brain naturally know that it's in a body and the brain is what makes the mind and is living by a heart and flesh ...
