I doubt that the world will end in 2012. I'm not going to believe something the Mayan's came up with. If there was Scientific Evidence and proof then yes, I MIGHT consider believing it. But I believe there are different scientists who have reasons why the world will end almost EVERY year.

The Mayan calender ends. that does not mean the world ends. It just means that we need a new calender. Happens to us every year, they just have a much longer measured cycle. just like y2k, nothing will happen.

This is bullshit. If they think they could predict the end of the world then how come they didn't predict the end of their civilzation.No one can predict when the world will end. It is unknown of when will the world ends. I can't wait till 12/21/2012 to prove all the people wrong.

he Mayans DIDNT say the world would END that day thats just the end of The Great Era.Doomsday was tagged along because they didnt know that the mayan calander end date was actually a day of rejoice and celebration to make it to that day.The Media just tricked us into that.If that were the case why would there be school?We might as well spend the last 3 yrs doing something better with our lives.Plus some say that good or nothing will happen.Some say that that day we might become more intellegent or even get super powers.But doomsday is a hoax.NASA said it themselves and before you bring up the fact that they are under government control why would they keep that a secret?

Oh and one more thing,if that doomsday theory were dont you think that this would be on the news more frequent?It would probably be on AT LEAST once a day.

I don't think the government would close the schools, even if the Mayans had said the world would end in 2012.

Also, the mayan calender has ended many times before, and then it restarted. It just so happens they're not alive to renew the old calender because they've died out, which leads me to believe they're stupid dumb****s.
