fuck's sake, just because you're new doesn't mean you need a mentor. It means you need practice.

The best way to go, at least in my opinion, is to practice on your own and get a good grasp of your own ability and style before you look for a teacher. I know several good animators who have never had mentors and learned completely from experience and watching others. If you get a mentor too early, you might be tempted to replicate their way of doing things instead of taking their lessons as guidelines to improve upon your own style.
