hey oblex have you heard Dopethrone by Electric Wizard?

also you could make a collage if you want a custom amount of albums or just don't repeat artists

Yes, Dopethrone is fantastic.
Dopesmoker by Sleep is also fantastic, and 1 hour long.

I could have skipped a few artists, but I wanted to do it by albums, not artists. It made it more difficult for me, because I kept forgetting some, and had to go back and move a few around, and whatnot.

i'm starting to feel that most of the dnb people think of is like brostep-tier stuff. i always thought dnb was a lame-ass hopeless genre until i heard this and fully converted to junglism. the whole genre is like rawer, darker, ragga-influenced dnb and doesn't do the predictable brostep build and drop shit with overproduction.

also see if this live techno album appeals to you at all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqKHtKHvY_8
the remarc track reminds me of some parts of it

btw i think this is my favorite Gong track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urgxAs8W2_0

lol i didn't mean to make you listen to that entire thing, i just meant skip around and see if you liked the feel of it. i can post why it's so good but that's probably not relevant anymore

you should definitely explore jungle. few genres of popular music underwent so many changes and reached such ambitious heights as jungle did. Within a few years, jungle musicians were already composing abstract and ambient pieces, integrating breakbeats with pop vocals, adopting jazz improvisation. Thanks to ever more intricate beats and to free structures borrowed from jazz, jungle music rapidly became the foundation for a new kind of avantgarde music, pursued by the most austere of the genre's visionaries.

for that rec... i've never been a fan of metal with hard guitar riffs and whatnot, or anything "epic" sounding, but the diversity of sounds in this is actually pretty appealing to me. at times it sound like avant-prog and the frequent melody changes are interesting. thanks. i think maybe if you like that, you'd like Seven Idiots by World's End Girlfriend. it just fucking plows through so instruments and melodies and styles all integrated a way that's so well-done and put together that it blows my mind. wouldn't be surprised if you've already heard of WEG, i did before i was even "into" music, but Seven Idiots is different.

Wow if I posted mine on here months ago, it probably wouldn't have changed much.
Nor would it have filled all the 50 slots.

You guys find a lot of music you like. I envy you people.

How do you guys find all your music?
