Just as a future tip, if you want to do a STATIC picture, not an animated gif, then you'll have to check the .png box format, that's the best quality for a picture ^^

PNG Offers the best quality for digital posting.
If your image is staying on the computer, export it as PNG.
JPEG Is better for printing, before exporting set a fairly high resolution for best results. I also recommend a good quality printer.
but yeah, if you want a moving picture use animated GIF. AVOID USING MOVIE CLIPS AT ALL TIMES.
This ruins the GIF's quality, even though flash's GIF quality is pretty low to begin with.
Follow the instructions provided by the above, and you should be good.

People here have pretty much covered it, but one important note.
By default PNG files will have a transparent background, so if you want a white background you'll have to alter the settings or draw a big white box over the canvas on the bottom layer.

I know a wonderful FLA Converter which enables to convert FLA files to all kinds of video and audio formats with HD quality and superb speed. The good FLA Converter is a helpful FLA Player. Besides, this FLA Video Converter is a Video Joiner/Merger and video editor that can help merge or join FLA files together, trim FLA videos, remove off ads, crop FLA files, adjust FLA video size, rotate FLA video, add/remove FLA subtitle, adjust audio channel, increase FLA audio volume and more.
Find it by google search "How to Convert FLA to SWF, FLV, MP4, AVI, WMV, MP3 with FLA Converter?"
