How to animate with filled backgrounds, and still have onion skin [Pivot][Advice]

The fact that i didnt understand doesent meen i didnt read the text...Also i did read the text because if i didnt it wouldnt be a fair review(post) for the person who made this tutorial.

EDIT: And I have just read it again and i understand it a little more but still, its not very well put together.:/

Easier way: Use backgrounds. At one point in my Thief animation I actually took a screenshot of all the Pivot-made props that I placed in the scene and used it as a background so I could still have onion skinning over it.

indeed it was. just learn to animate without onion skin. its not that hard
