Let's face it, a lot of people here don't like animating and try to avoid it whenever they can, and then deny the fact that they do. Hence why they normally have no full length movies, focus too much on small irrelevant details and blame their problems on "not having enough inspiration". They just want to be considered good animators, they don't like the animating process itself. Otherwise they wouldn't procrastinate on it until the last minute.
Yeah i er, have to agree with Jombo here. I always get people approaching me saying let me see what new anims you made, i need inspiration. But i tell em, go fudge yourself. lol i joke.
People always want to show me their 5 second tests of combos and effects. But in all truth and honesty, it doesn't impress me too much, unless your like Miccool who does some ridiculously crazy effects. But i tell these people, instead of wasting your time with simple 5 second animations all the time, why not do a full length. Most responses are, I'm not good enough, or i don't have the inspiration. I always say, why not start of and add to it bit by bit, you'll be surprised what you can accomplish. Don't call yourself an animator just because you've got 260 flash files of 2-10 seconds worth of simplistic looking animation, because your not.
I know few people who say, "oh Drifts, i wish i was good like you", but I'm like, i ain't good, IM FREKIN' AWESOME! But i say, you got to put in a superb amount of effort into each slide. But don't get me wrong, God knows the large sums of animations i see that aren't up to scratch, but that's because it looks rushed, like people just want to show others they've produced something so they put minimal effort. I'd rather want to see a heavily detailed 10 second animation that a simple looking 7 minute animation. You wanna be an animator? Then put in the effort, don't expect the title, earn that shizz.
