Before you read any of this, let me say something: I'm not hating on founding a new clan. If you want to, by all means go do it. I just want to make sure you're prepared to make one, and if you're not, then don't. A clan that dies after a month is pointless.

I am seeing way too many clans pop up lately, and 80% of them die immediately. And it isn't just me who thinks this, look around the clan threads, it is quite annoying. If you want to be in a clan, don't immediately jump to the conclusion that you should make your own. Look around at other clans, post there, see if you like the members or not, and then you can join a clan that you have friends in, much better than making your own and only leading members that you don't know and possibly don't like. If you still decide you want to make your own clan, I recommend you do some of the following things:

1) Make friends. If you don't talk to anyone, no one will join your clan. They will assume it is another random clan made by a new guy who no one knows.

2) Make sure it looks good. This is where first impressions matter. If the artwork and layout looks like crap, people's first impression will be that it is a bad clan. If this means you need to find an artist, by all means do it.

3) Improve your animating skills. Yes, you aren't perfect at animating, no one is. And if you are one of those people making random clans out of the blink of an eye, you probably aren't that great. Post some animations, practice, and get better, and THEN make your clan. If you're very bad at animating, your clan most likely won't get that many members. And don't mistake me, you don't have to be amazing, I just suggest you improve a little before making your clan, that way you can help others.

So yah, I hope you read all of this. Too many people are randomly making clans, and it needs to stop. There are plently of other clans out there who would love to have you as a member, and they are already successfull and active, which your newly found clan might not be.

tl;dr: Make sure you're prepared before making clan, and if you aren't, join some else's clan.
