Please use this thread only to discuss about wRHG. Also, Just a reminder:

-Events such as tournaments or written collabs will be held consistently based off the ideas and creativity of wRHG participants. No one is limited to what they can organize, but rather just be smart in knowing that if they are to organize a wRHG event, they're responsible in making sure it is organized and easy for wRHG players to participate in.

-Anything scrapped and/or found unofficial as a battle will be tossed over into the "Original Literature" section as to not clutter up wRHG and provide the former sub-forum with more content.

Obviously, the clans themselves will need rules on their layout so it isn't chaos. It would seem sensible to base it off the RHG clan rules, albeit with some variations here and there. Here's my suggestion for clan layout:

Clan Name:
Clan Flag: I'm not so sure about this, this could be an optional sort of thing, but I do believe in a poll about wRHG clans, Crankuba had an interesting flag layout...
Clan Theme: (optional)
Clan Members: Four at most, from what I remember
Clan Literature: Links to any writing the clan and its members have done.
Clan Characters: Links to biographies, pictures are optional.
Clan Specialty: I would prefer it to be optional.
Clan Tryouts: Specify what you require someone to do in order to tryout as a clan member, this should be a well written piece.
Clan Events: You can list writing collabs/roleplays and stuff here.

List of your battles:
List of your Accomplishments:
List of your number of members: Again, four at most.
Accepting members: (y/n)

Also, will moderators from Rock Hard Writers transferring from the old site have any sort of power in managing wRHG, or will the moderation team for Writer's Lounge just be you and Bond?

I figure the outline should be along the lines of:

Clan Name: Simple enough.
Clan Description: This explains where this clan came from. Unike RHG, I'd like all clans to have a story behind them on how they were founded. We can even call this field "Clan Story" if it fits better. This also explains what separates the clan from all the others.
Clan Members: Yes four at most. Just short summaries and a link to the character pages. Picture unnecessary. Also place here their statistics as shown in the Hall of Warriors.
Clan Events: Shows if any special clan events have been held in the past or if planned for the future. Links should be provided if available.
Clan Tryouts: This should suggest whether or not the clan is holding tryouts. If so, the requirements should be discussed over private message. Creates more confidentiality for the clan.

From here on out the clan can boast about any sort of achievements they've attained. It's up to the clan itself to decide how much they want to talk about or share. But all of the above are required.

Sounds great :

But I like the idea of a clan flag - however, it should be optional whether to have one or not. Clan rivals and allies would cause more activity so i think there should be allies/rivals, but only to boost activity.
Anything else?

And thanks Sacred for the help in getting this up and running

I do like the idea of the backstory, as far clan activites, i would like to see a tournament between the clans, that is if we have enough clans.

Having an option of clan flag doesn't seem like a bad idea. And yeah if you allies or enemies then you can post that up as well too. I'll add it to the format.

And yeah bodacious, a tournament would be fun.

I don't know for sure if its still up or not, but for a tournament (i think one of stone's maybe) he offered two pretty cool posters for the winners, what about something like that if we put up tournaments? Like have small, pretty cool prizes? Like a top prize could be to have a fight animated for you

Well honestly if we're gonna have prizes, I won't be supplying them. Just putting that out there.

LOL - That's fine, ur doing enuff by getting this up and running and moderating it :P

we would need a format for the tournaments, and we would need several judges for things like disqualifications or stuff like that

Hey, Hewitt gave me a great idea:

When we get the tournaments set up, we need to individualize based on experience. Have participants send in like a form with a copy of a DEMO, and the judges for that tournament puts them in different areas, IE: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

Well yeah we don't want someone who just recently started writing and is doing the tourney for fun to end up against someone like Devour. That'd just be plain unfair.

How long would it take to set up the Writer's Lounge and move all the threads from here to there?
