Name: Referred to as M.A. [Malignant Affliction]
Abilities:
Hyper Nutritional - M.A.’s body is packed full of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients and supplements, to the point that it can be considered the ultimate food. Because it is a highly nutrient rich source, it serves as an excellent nest and breeding ground for parasitic entities. This also enables her to regenerate at a fairly fast pace, providing more food for the creatures that use her body.
Flesh Meld - Whenever M.A.’s flesh, tissues, bodily fluids, bones, or any other portion of her body is taken into and ingested by another organic being, its genetic structure, once the component of M.A. is digested, creates a new specialized sequence in the DNA coding of the body, causing all new cells to form a new organelle. This organelle is primarily inert and has no particular effects on the body on its own, aside from creating a slight craving to consume more of M.A.’s body. This trait is entirely dominant and will successfully pass down through all genetic lines without fail.
Parasitic Influence - Anything which possesses the specialized organelle in their cells from consuming a part of M.A. will henceforth be at risk of being placed under her direct influence, and will follow any and all commands given by her, be they conscious or subconscious. Similarly, creatures under M.A.’s influence will be unable to willingly bring harm to her or attempt to end her life; if M.A.’s life functions are to cease, any orders given will immediately cease, though the organelles will continue to pass along through the generations.
Parasites:
M.A.’s body, being unsuited for survival in this plane of existence, is reliant upon other creatures to function. While many are naturally parasitic, some are parasitic by circumstance, having succumbed to M.A.’s influence after consuming a bit of her flesh. X species make up her body and/or live in/on her body, acting according to her will so that she may survive.
The parasites that make up M.A.’s body and/or are constantly attached to her will be broken down and listed in categories based on their primary function. While they’re listed by their primary function, this will not be the only thing they are capable of; all their capabilities will be listed alongside their names.
Hemoziggurats - An extremely small, high reproduction parasitic species that lives in and survives of of blood. Though parasitic, they work to keep their hosts veins, arteries, and tissues in pristine condition in order to keep their food source in peak condition. Laying their eggs in the bones, they’re extremely hard to detect given their size and body structure, often blending in with the blood and appearing as slightly larger white blood cells. Because they’re the size of cells, they can influence cell development and function; M.A. primarily uses them in order to use the nutrients in her body, as she is unable to properly absorb them into her cells herself.
Trecheonins - A long bodied creature that feeds on Hemoziggurats and blood, this creature resembles limbs. Mouths being on one end in a fashion similar to a lamprey, they typically latch onto a target and act as a supplementary limb, their teeth connecting them to the nervous system of their prey. On their bottom half, they possess anywhere from four to twelve appendages resembling fingers, which have a particularly high grip strength capable of crushing through rocks and pipes and bones with ease. Covered in a thin grey segmented chitin, they have somewhat long lifespans, and reproduce asexually through using the DNA of the blood they ingest along with their own, which, when they lay their fertilized eggs, produce a child bearing the DNA of both the host and the original Trecheonin as its “parents.” M.A. uses Trecheonins in place of limbs, possessing six total; four act as arms, each with six limbs, and two act as legs, possessing twelve appendages.
Zerpintraur - A thin bodied, long, almost snake-like creature which also survives on blood, but is also fairly carnivorous. Measuring on average at about eight feet in length, their bodies are extremely flexible and powerful; akin to a snake, they normally slither along the ground, and ar able to move and twist and bend their body as they wish. This suits the species in particular as the lower end of its body is blade-like in nature which, coupled with its strength and flexibility, allow it to slash at creatures to make it easier for them to take down their prey, burrowing into the flesh to drink at their blood and eat them inside out. Because they have barbed heads, once they enter, they’re near impossible to remove unless they wish to leave, in which case they can lower the barbs back into their heads. M.A. utilizes an adult Zerpintraur as a tail in order to keep her balance, and assist with climbing or measuring distance, her own measuring at an impressive ten feet. The Zerpintraur is also capable of being used to pull M.A.’s body about in a manner akin to a living grappling hook. Its head is consistently buried in her lower spinal area.
Sting Frenstrait - A pinkish-orange parasitic crustaceon-like creature, it consumes and replaces a host’s tongue and replaces it, connecting to their nervous system, its waste going through its long body into the host’s stomach directly. A particularly strange feature of this species is its ability to stretch itself out of the victim’s mouth almost a foot in order to feed. Omnivorous in nature, the Sting Frenstrait, while taking a portion of the nutrients from meals it eats that the host doesn’t consume themselves (given their small size, they obviously aren’t able to consume everything that enters the mouth), is able to adjust anything it does consume into a state that the victim is able to digest it, even if it is against their typical dietary needs. Due to its size, it is unable to inflict any serious harm on larger creatures.
Oculus Reavus - A parasite which burrows into the eye socket in order to feed on the inner tissues and bioelectric waves of the brain, this parasite replaces an eye of the host; while this effectively blinds them, because it connects itself to the optic nerve, it allows the host to “see” electromagnetic currents. This parasite has replaced M.A.’s left eye.
Granduminsch - A large parasitic insect species, the Granduminsch’s carapace is jet black, smooth, and flexible, while still being strong enough to repel bullet fire. The creature thin enough to fit under most doors. Protected by its shelled exterior, its wide mouth and tiny legs remain beneath it unprotected along with its olfactory sensory glands; this shell is able to expand outwards and wrap around surfaces, allowing it to “hug” areas a the cost of weakening the shell’s strength. Alternatively, if it compresses its shell, the strength increases, while the area is protects shrinks proportionally. A blind species, it survives on living and dead skin cells, and reproduces with large egg clusters that mates come and fertilize. Due to a strange property of their shell, electromagnetic waves are deflected, as is radioactivity and other waves. M.A. has four of these parasites cover her, two males and two females; two cover her chest and stomach, while two cover her back. These parasites have to move aside if M.A. wishes to release any offensive parasites which live in her torso.
Slimmburgicks - Parasites which live in M.A.’s stomach. Looking akin to maggots, these parasites live off of anything M.A. is unable to digest. The most notable features of these parasites are their resilience, squishy bodies, and body oil production. Able to excrete large amounts of oil, especially when squished, they’re often left strewn about to create unstable footing. A distinct secondary trait of the oil is, when the Slimmburgick is distressed, often after being squashed, they secrete an additional oil which produces a foul smell akin to that of concentrated durian juice and creates an obscuring smoke which prevents not only vision, but electronic detection as well. M.A. is similarly unable to see through this smoke, making this parasite only useful in escapes.
Frishkript - A parasitic spider-like creature with a high reproductive ability, this parasite resembles a darker, much smaller Greenbottle Blue Tarantula in coloration and shape. Living within M.A.’s breasts, these parasites, when sent out, act to numb and slowly paralyze their prey, injecting neurotoxins with their large numbers. While the effects are small initially, over time, they build up until all feeling and use of the afflicted area is negated. Given their small size, these parasites, if detected, are easily killed off and can be fought back before enough venom for seious complications is injected.
Ix-Drurgaur - A carnivorous parasite which injects creatures with its stomach acid to dissolve their insides and drink them out. Because they’re fairly weak, they often target sleeping creatures, creating a cavity in their victim, then, using their boneless, slimy bodies, they use their prey as a nesting ground as they slowly consume them, being near impossible to remove. Living in M.A.’s upper right back (where a shoulder blade would be), her Ix-Drurgaur is fed regularly to keep it from overly consuming her. Because of its lack of bones and placement, it is able to lash out from her back at random and difficult to predict angles, and once it has a firm grip on its target, it begins releasing its stomach acids immediately.
Weaknesses:
-M.A. is unable to live without her para
sites. For this reason, she will not actively sacrifice those which take time to breed, as this would place her in a dire situation.
-Not all of M.A.’s parasites are symbiotic. If going too long without feeding them, they may begin to consume too much of her to regenerate quickly, in which case she will have to starve them, limiting their ability to function. For this reason, M.A. is required to hunt for food on a fairly regular basis.
- M.A. is herself physically weak. Because she has no proper combat abilities herself, she relies entirely on her parasites for hunting purposes. If they are disabled or unable to act against prey, then she will be forced to fall back.
-Because M.A. affects biological entities, non-biological targets have very little to fear from her, and are not a primary interest anyways as they have no feeding potential.
-M.A.’s intelligence is extremely low. More than anything, she is a creature of instinct, and as such, behaves in a manner more akin to a toddler or animal than a sapient existence.
-Those infected by Flesh Meld may be identified by an onset of haliotosis, muscle pains, and sudden fears of raw meat and disease. They can feel a distinct squirming up their throat, and a sludge-like sensation as their blood flows through their veins. They may also be caught during episodes of possession, wherein they’ll appear to act on “auto-pilot.”
-The organelles of the Flesh Meld may be “burnt out of the system” through consuming M.A.’s brain matter, as it is the focal point of her consciousness; while it was nonphysical in the fourth dimension, it manifested itself as such in the third. Those inflicted know of this unconsciously.
-Strong enough willpower can resist the Parasitic Influence to some extent, allowing victims freedom of will under influence for short periods; overly resisting does lead to brain death, however, this may also be viewed as a release of sorts.[/SPOILER]
About:
M.A. is an entity originally of the fourth dimension, existing as a conscious plague of flesh. Whilst in the fourth dimension, its influence was much greater, able to attract others to consume of it, and in doing so become a part of it, spreading its influence outwards slowly but surely, consuming others as it was consumed, breeding forth new victims and having others trick those resistant to it into becoming its victims as well. Because its influence spread at a faster and faster pace, in order to prevent it from gaining too much influence, it was forced to the third dimension, its body unable to properly withstand the dimensional shift as its entire body was compressed to try and compensate the shift in the rules of this new plane of existence. Despite this, it was left a simple somewhat humanoid hunk of flesh on the ground, unable to move or eat or do much of anything. Before it was to perish, however, the smell of its body attracted a predator; this became its first parasite, and led down the path for it to gain more, and build not only a functioning body, but one capable of properly hunting others. Though not as powerful as it had once been, it was now no longer simply a fleshy plague; Itch had become mobile, a Malignant Affliction, and in doing so, while not able to reproduce per se, became female in form, which suited its acronym. She was like a mother of infection, and she would slowly spread across the world.
Appearance:
M.A. is a vaguely humanoid entity which
leans towards feminine in nature, having small breasts and a slight curviness. M.A.’s skin is pale grey and translucent, revealing a muscle structure beneath that is inhuman to behold, dark red veins stretching throughout it. Its variety of parasites are easy to behold within it, their movements within the fleshy container causing the thin layer of skin to shift constantly; it is also visible, their consumption of their container, the blood flowing out and into the haemovores. The Trecheonins, their jaws locked into M.A.’s flesh in six points, appear a darker grey than her with their segmented chitins, the finger-like appendages each six inches in length and somewhat spindly, having too many joints in them to appear natural. With the addition of the “leg” Trecheonins, M.A. stands at a mere five feet even, making her appear somewhat less threatening. On the bottom of each Trecheonin, between all their appendages, is their anus, which appears as a clenched star unless they pass their excrement, or, in the case of the two lower left ones, let out their own parasites, the Trigrints. The Zerpintraur, used as a pseudo-tail, when not needed is often wrapped around M.A.’s waist; it can be seen eating into the flesh of her lower back as it regenerates, drinking up the juices as well, the barbs of its head piercing out of her lower back, its fleshy hide colored the same as a sickly newborn infant.
M.A. is hairless, the bald top of its head slightly malformed when compared to a human’ss, elongating backwards a bit. The Oculus Reaver, replacing its left eye, appears like a pulsating tumor coming from the socket, colored purple as a bruise. Her normal eye appears as a completely white mass which, on closer inspection, is a series of compound eyes that bulge out ever so slightly, as though a blind eye were forced against a fishing net. The Sting Frenstrait, pinkish-orange in nature and with a very soft shell, typically sits in M.A.’s mouth, unless it is time to feed. Extending out up to a foot, the invertebrate, thanks to its soft shell, is able to bend and slither as though it were a serpent, a single black eye opening on the bottom of it as rows upon rows of sharp teeth appear as it opens its own mouth to feed.
Four Granduminschs cover M.A.’s torso, a living armor that is more for protection than decency. When not actively hunting, they let their forms spread around her, giving the impression of a shiny black dress as they cover her lower “arm” Trecheonins, giving her a bit of a more human impression. When she needs to release creatures from her torso, however, they compact themselves, revealing her breasts and upper right shoulder blade, allowing her to release her primary victims of attack.
