I'v always been looking for new music to listen to, I discovered a year back that my favorite musics came out from Anime/movies' OST. Some of the instrumentals and choirs created are just heaven itself for my ears.

I personally watch a lot of movies, and have discovered many people that makes OST for movies (e.g: Hanz Zimmer, Zack hemsey, John Powel), but sadly I've watched only a few anime series, from wich I download lots of musics. But I would like to know the best OSTs from anime and movies that YOU have saw.

There're of course a lot of games with amazing OST, like final fantasy, xenoblade chronicles, if you know a music from a game that you like, you're allowed to post a link here too :3

I suggest you just listen to their music, the story may be good, but the balance kills the game completely. At least thats how it was when I left it, dunno about now though.

Donnie Darko OSTs from mostly Michael Andrews, other artists include Gary Jules and, my favorite, Steve Baker & Carmen Daye.

The music portrayed in the movie is so haunting, so deep, so profounding, kinda brings a tear right in my eye. This is why I chose the first song for my wRHG's theme song.

For those who haven't seen Donnie Darko, I suggest that you go watch it. It's a really good movie.

J.A Seazer is godly although I listen to his soundtracks without even knowing about the movies they were made for.

i don't really listen to OSTs from anime, though, usually just OP + ED. The only ones I really like and have fully downloaded are the OSTs for FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Panty & Stocking, Samurai Champloo, and Aria. All highly recommended.

I particulary enjoy the fallout 3 one on soulreaver987.

One of my favorite soundtracks is Starfox Assualt, it's a lot better than you'd expect from a space shooting game, like this, some songs had a nice relaxing spacey theme to them, such as this, others had a really great upbeat theme, like this, and some good action fight music, like this, mostly done by an orchestra, and it was done pretty well, in my opinion.

i'm recently listening to Blazblue OST, this one is very epic (realy epic) and is a style of rock that i realy enjoy a lot. the composer of this soundtrack is Daisuke Ishiwatari, and he made a lot of musics that i enjoy xP

other game that have a awesome ost like Hewitt said, is Chrono Cross, Yasunori Mitsuda is such a great composer, and he put a good feeling in all he's musics.

this one make me chill, the desolated sensation in this music is realy perfect, and the pzzicatos with cello fill nicely in this masterpiece.

now, one ost fron anime, this one i dont watch yet, but i have the ost in my pc xP Fate Stay Night.

Emya theme is a eletronic one, in a epic style xP i love the introduction of this music.

but one, that i dont see to mutch ppl talking about, is Shadow of the Colossus and ICO ost, all musics made by Kow (or Koh i dunno) Otani (in SOTC) and Michiru Oshima, the WHOLE ost is perfect, and the colossus battle musics is realy amasing, every music, every note is such a piece of art

Edit:theres 2 game novel that have a awesome ost too, one is Mahou Tsukai no Yoru, i cant describe some musics of this GN, and its kinda epic lol.
