So I just re-watched Deathnote and I think the ending sucks. WARNING SERIOUS SPOILER FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET!
I wanted Light to be the god of the new world and stuff, but what do you guys think.

It's the best ending of the story of animes. Light were allways the "bad guy", an "anti-hero". I was somehow obvious that he would lose, but that's what makes you want to watch it: Will he win, being that kind of character?
I love that series, is amazing. It's the less mainstream anime EVER. And the ending shows that: The main character dies, and fails on his objetive. However, if the main character of the serie would be L, and if the story would be told by his side, the series ending would be horrible. I mean, "Near, you can be like L! F*ck off!" and you would be angry because of that :I
However, Death Note is the best anime-manga ever.

I agree it is the best, although I never saw Light as a bad guy.

Yeah, me neither... I agreed with everything he said, but he WAS the bad guy from the story: Normally, on the animes and mangas, the justice is what prevail and the good souls are the heroes. However, Death Note is the total opposite for every anime that ever existed. Light was a murderer, a "criminal", but i think everybody would be one if they had a death note.
