Hey so recently I've been wanting to get into recording shit for Youtube but theres a problem with my mic
It works fine when nothing is plugged in but when i plug in my headphones into the computer it does not pick up any audio whatsoever
It even works fine when i plug in my speakers but i cant have the mic picking up the speakers audio
OH before i forget im using the internal mic my laptop came with at the moment

So if theres anyone who could help it'd be much appreciated

I'm not sure what the problem could be, if you're using your computer's mic it can be an internal problem. But I could recommend to buy an external mic to avoid those kinds of errors.

i think your computer is trying to treat your headset as a mic. go to your sound settings and change your microphone selection to "ingternal mic".

Ive done this and even set it to where its the default mic
I do think however that youre right about the headphones being treated as a mic since the speakers work fine.
Ill try some various headphones out or something

And Camila i had a mic but my little brother managed to break it :T
It was about 100$ down the drain and I dont have that much money atm
