I own a tablet. It is shit.
Give me suggestions (if you're going to suggest Bamboo, mention what type and why you suggest this version). I don't think I would be bothered paying more than $150 (with Australia's bullshit pricing, a $120 tablet in America probably cost $150 here).
Obviously I am looking for something that's ideal for flash.
Suggest me a tablet

Well I got bamboo capture. It's more expensive than splash, but its bigger. Just $100 here. It's decent.

I can't seem to find 'capture' on the Wacom website. Does it go by a different name?

http://www.wacom.com/products/pen-tablets/bamboo/bamboo-capture Don't know if there's different website for Australia.
Edit: Oh. There's no capture in Australian website...... Ebay?

Oh yes it seems they rename the tablets in the American site.

Yes. Assuming I can fixed Windows and get it working again on my computer.
Interested in Pivot 4.0 too. It includes many features I was dying to have back in the older versions a couple years ago.

Well I would say that most of your needs for simple flash animation and etc. would be met by any of the Wacom Bamboo models, they have a decent surface area and are relatively versatile. Depends on what you intend to accomplish and how enthusiastic you are about it.
If you wanna go higher than that Intuos4 all the way, but that's a bit of an investment, though they're not too bad, and come in a variety of sizes.

I'm thinking Bamboo as it's pretty much what everyone suggests (mainly because it's the only thing anyone on this site uses. Can't really be bothered searching around through different brands.).
The question is more what type of Bamboo. Leaning towards Pen & Touch. It's $135 here, probably like $110 in America.
Anyway the windows situation is basically as follows:
- Windows stopped working. Possibly harddrive screwed. In the past I would just factory reset, but now basically nothing works.
- Installed Ubuntu onto an external. Been using this for the last year.
Should have Windows up and running again sooner or later.

Intuos5 or Intuos4, if you don't mind spending a little extra for quality. Bamboo is pretty much the cheap alternative for an intuos. It's the same, but not as good.
Then there's Cintiq, which is totally worth its price, but you wont be really needing it unless you're a professional artist.

Tried using pivot recently. Sucked hard at it.

Good news. I finally got Windows working on my computer again (after over a year of using Linux). Had to completely replace the hard drive, format it and re-install windows + all drivers ect. Had problems every step of the way. Still in the process of wading through this plethora of automatic updates and driver updates.
Mmmm I can almost taste that software compatibility. Oh how I missed you.

I recommend Cintiq 24HD touch. But in all seriousness you can't really go wrong with the bamboo pen and touch, but try to figure out if you need the touch or if using the stylus is enough. I have a bamboo manga (just for the extra software) and i've had the touch turned off since i got it.
