Economy is key!

It's a proven factor in this whole game. If you can harm the economy you instantly harm their whole game plan.

The Trick is to kill as many miners of his as you can in the beginning so try to buy a unit that won't die with a swordwrath but instead buy about 3 just to assure this works but remember be as fast as possible. If you allow him to go for too long this strategy will slowly fail and deteriorate. What I have done before is killed his miners in 30 seconds with a swordwrath. The guy was trying to actually fight my man and ended up losing and forfeiting.

Tips
----------
Don't Let Your Opponent Get More Miners.
As you begin to harm their economy, build your own.
Once you begin with a good economy make an even better army.

As someone has said before

You aren't trying to destroy their army, your trying to prevent them from building an army

Agreed. However, you are screwed if they choose to turtle up from the get go and if they make a castle archer, or a skilled micro.

i think too many people get "denying economy" confused with the concept of "being economic". this doesnt necessarily mean trying to kill ur opponents workers

also, one example doesnt reflect future events, obviously

Killing an enemy miner is like gaining a miner yourself in my eyes.

Also, I feel like an analogy so:

The economy is like the foundation that the building which is the army stands on. Take out the economy and the rest crumbles down to the ground.
