So hey I made this thread so we can discuss the similarities between DmC and God of War. Maybe you're input can help me choose whether to buy DmC!
Anyway he is my attempt (I have limited experience with both games)
They are both Fast paced Action Slashers with Dante and Kratos hacking there way through enemies and dispatching them with elaborate combos. However people have told me there is more Combat depth in DmC as it requires more 'skill' and complex combos.
There stories and themes are similar with "Angles and Demons" in both of them , while DmC has a more Gothic approach to this while God of War has a traditional Greek/Roman mythology.

I personally don't see the similarity in the games, I have not played DmC but iv seen gameplay videos and it doesn't seem to play at all like god of war. God of War emphasizes on brutality and taking down some creature that's 20x your size. Its gameplay can get a little repetitive in some parts but the upgradable moves keeps you hooked and just the art and complex takedowns of the bosses just makes you want to play it all the way through.

I cant really give an accurate description of DmC because I have never played it. But its different
