Sorry in advance about the poor lighting in these photos.

The first assignment is to draw a tonal study from referrence.

you found the secret message! now go home, you're drunk.
The second was a colour study once again, from a reference, this time a centipede. I never got to finish this, but how much if it is there will still pick up some marks for me.

The 3rd assignment was a reference page about the artist who will inspire your final work, mine being Escher.

The fourth was planning out and developing the final idea which I will be doing for the next two days.
Previous plans (Click to Show)

I will be drawing this for tomorrow as my final piece for 10 hours (2 days)

And the final part of the exam is to complete the final idea on an A3 sheet in ten hours.

This got me a C, as my overall grade for this was a D.

Is this what you were stressed over?
your instructors must be unbelievably biased critics if they tell you this is sub-par.
I can see the effort put into matching the reference on your own paper, and you don't seem to ignore small details here either.
I can say that this is better than half of my art class who don't even make attempts to get better, even of those who do try it's still pretty good.
If you have a chance to finish, finish it, shading value and all.

Make the bug in the shape of a dick, I think your teacher will like it better if you do that...
Fuck your teacher (literally)...

Alright, tbh, i can personally see where your teachers are coming from to a certain degree.
They must be some rediculous perfectionists though, cus that doesnt look "below a B" to me.
And although it doesnt look exactly like the picture (which is what i assume they wanted) its far from bad, and has a unique feel to it

Are you fucking kidding me...
A D?
This is like, professional. How can they give such a low score?
Ohwell, nothing I can do about it other than saying that you did a great job on this, and that it looks like you put alot of effort into it.

D?
Wow. Seriously, that's a bit over-expectant for a 15-16 year old.
Awesome drawing.

Sure it's a great drawing but it doesn't match the original too well. That's probably why she got a D.

The picture is beautiful. Only a horribly strict teacher would give you lower than a B. From what I can see though, the only things they could call you out on is the shape and shading. Looking at the original piece, yours is a bit too light, especially around the limbs and edges. The shape is slightly off for the shell, though not to the degree that it ruins the pieces. In my opinion, just lighten the shell a bit, try to make the shape a little more accurate, and use some different grades of pencil so that the shading is correct. Maybe a 4b and 8b for the really dark parts, a 2h for the lighter ones, and a 2b for the parts on the shell.

Still, this is much better than many in my class. Then again, they don't like art. Bunch of bastards.
