Does life really have a meaning?

Personally I believe life is ultimately meaningless in it's essence. I think it is up to ourselves to find a purpose for our life and find the idea of being guided/forced by a set of rules created by an entity that may or may not actually be there far from appealing. How does it give life any more meaning not being allowed to eat pork or to have to wait until you're married to have sex. Why is it that you have to be good so that you don't go to hell, why not just be a good person for the simple reason of being good? This is what I really find baffling about religion.

But that's just like, my opinion man.

Are you say'ing that you would like to have sex with forty different woman before marraig and then living with your wife, knowing that you already had sex with others and that having sex with her won't really be that special?

Religion plays a big part in our lives, in everyone's lives. Even atheists!
What you believe guides you threw life, if that means always doing good, and putting other peoples needs before yourself, then thats awesome!
Or believe'ing that having sex with everything that moves is good then yeah, go for it.

Life has a meaning, mayby it's just the fact that life has gotten so corrupt that we can't see the meaning so clearly anymore...

I don't care about casual sex. If I would really love my wife I would simply make sex special with her.

So are you saying that just doing good for the sake of doing good is worse then doing good for the sake of a god, or because you are being threatened with an eternal stay in hell?
No, if the only reason you do good is to get to heaven you are more selfish then

Care to elaborate, what could that meaning be?

Firstly, i'm never said that your suppose to do good to get into heaven. (thats a religious argument)
Yes, your religion does have some part in your actions. But your syaing atuomatically that i am Christian.
My english teacher doesn't believe in any God, she's athiest, and she's one of the kind'est people i know.
She is not kind to get into heaven or anything, she's kind because that's who she is!

Main reason:Money
I can go on and on about this for as long as i can with many different reasons, but the main one is money.
Everyday you can see on the TV, people try'ing to screw over their freinds and families to get money.
Its the main reason for crime.
Criminals breaking into houses and stealing valuebles.
Criminals that kills people for money.

There are many other reason i can give which involves religion.
But money is the worst!

Life can mean whatever you want it to mean.
