My good friend Alex has his own two person band which includes him on guitar and vocals, and another friend on the drums. They recently performed at our high school's "Sound Off", which is basically a battle of the bands. I'd never heard him perform before so I didn't know what to expect. I was blown away by his performance. Needless to say he was much better then I had thought he was. He also ended up winning the competition against 11 other bands, not to mention he's only 15. I wanted to show you guys the set he played, and ask you what you think.

Be warned this is recorded with a handheld device by someone else, and it doesn't have the best sound quality. But I still think you can appreciate the performance.

The first song they played was an original they had composed themselves:


The second was a cover of Black Math by the White stripes


The third was Misirlou the popular surf song. This is the Pulp Fiction version, with added "lyrics".
