The song's more than just partying and drinking with friends and strangers. It's about having to cope with the end of a very intimate relationship. It's about how easy it is to remain depressed over your life and how hard it is to stay uplifted. The artist here is using clubs and alcohol to try and numb herself to it, but breaks down anyway. Even afterwards she's going to do it all again the next day. It's a vicious cycle, not one I'm familiar with over a relationship, but I still can relate to escaping reality. Sometimes you want to stay cooped in your play-pretend, and not have to think about the rest of the world because you can imagine anything you like. Do it enough and life looks like one giant dead end.
It's a brutally honest look at depression.
