Quote from jdogg
Do you even notice something in real life that you had seen/had happened to you in a dream before? This shit happens to me all the time, and it's always with really small details, like a picture on a wall. I guess it's just my subconscious using the picture in a dream, because I'd seen it before, I just hadn't taken the time to notice it.

This has happened to me before, quite a few times actually, though not with small details, but with actual events.
The example I can remember most clearly was when I must have been about 8-10 years old and had a dream where I was in a place with wooden floor, a wall of mirrors in front of where I was standing, illuminated by the yellow glow of a light bulb and 4 pillars around there in a square formation to hold the place from collapsing. I then looked to the left and saw, hanging in the wall, a Japanese kanji just over some small bleachers. That thing probably couldn't hold more than 15-20 people. I appeared to be alone and the place was quiet.

Now, I was 14 when this happened and I was living over 400 km away from where I had that dream.
On a karaté training I was standing in line with the rest of the other people who I used to practice with and at that time, I looked to the my right and saw the exact same kanji, at the exact same distance, over the exact same bleachers with the exact same lighting and, even weirder was that, from that angle, no one was in my sight and no noise was being made. It was the exact same moment I had dreamed about years ago.
If anyone knows an explanation to this, please do tell me because the only thing I managed to conclude out of it was that I somehow dreamed about the future.

And about the topic:
I don't remember much of it, but I had a lucid dream where I was walking around with a person around a town, having a chat (I believe) until I followed him to a tree from where he told me to crawl under. I did and it somehow lead to a really wide, bright and open field, full of small hills and grass. After that, the only thing I remember was that between that first tree and another one a few meters next to it, we were having a discussion about something which I have no memory whatsoever of what it was and realized that in order to prove something, I had to go into the real world and bring an object (which I can't remember) into the dream. I still remember the thought process (translated to English): "Ok, I need to bring (insert object), so I'll wake up, grab it from my bedside table, at least I think I left it there, tuck it close to me and fall asleep so I can show him."
All I told that guy in my dream was "Just a sec, let go get something from the real world so I can show you" before I quite literally teleported back to consciousness.
Needless to say I never returned to that dream, in fact, I forgot what I was supposed to get the moment I woke up.

Eventually I will get around to mastering lucid dreaming. One day.

Recently all of my dreams revolve around the suburb where I live and a couple specific friends. It never used to be like this.

I had a weird dream one night, and it was lucid... It scared me though... I "woke up" beside my bed, and looked around, but the real me was still in bed. I couldn't say anything for some reason, and it was like my body had frozen. I literally walked down my stairs, out my door, and down the street. I wasn't sure where I was going, but I knew I had to be there. I just kept walking and walking, even to a few neighborhoods I didn't know were around. I came up to one house, and the door was unlocked, either that or it was part of the dream, but I just walked right in. There was a small coffee table in the center, with a brown recliner in the corner. A woman was sitting there, and she was crying... I sat down in front of her, but of course she didn't see me... I put a hand on her shoulder and tried to talk, but no words, not even lip movement. She was an older woman, I think about like 40-50, but she was just so sad... Her phone was on the table, a small flip one, and it was turned on. A text was on the screen, and it just broke my heart... The text said, "You know what, I'm tired of your bullcrap, you try and control me and I'm sick of it, I just hate you now, and you won't need to worry about me anymore, bye" I looked at the woman, and she just sat there crying... It was horrible... I don't remember anything after that; it just ended... But it was so vivid... It was scary how realistic it was, almost like it wasn't a dream...

Hey guys do you know if you keep thinking something REAL deeply b4 you go to sleep you will get a dream about it. One day I was thinking about becoming really good at animating and I got a dream about me animating like a pro. Seriously that happened a lot to me. But it doesn't always happen though. This is why I was able to realize I was dreaming during a dream because I watched Inception and all those dreaming crap was in my head.
