I seriously don't see why the effects is such an issue. For guz' part, yeah maybe. But I'm not in control over his part.
If you are referring to my part, I seriously don't see why it is so much. The only times when I use the effect is with major movements. :|

Maybe try using a less bolder color for the effects, and a darker one for the person. My eyes tend to watch the effects rather than the FB.

You just told us why. These spastic dark colored effects cover the lighter colored animation. I'd love to cnc it but it's too hard to see the movements.

I like it! Try to add some clothes and a background. For the effects. I like those! Its cute. Maybe you two should joint with this style! Make those two fight eachother. You two have identical drawings, it almost looks like one person made it. I think that pretty unique. Make use of it!
