Story
Peaches was 5 years old when her father was working for NASA space program. He was an astronaut and her mother was theoretical physicist. They both had a very large salary and various properties everywhere. Peaches was the first born but 3 years after her sister Jessica. Peaches and Jessica were very close, they did very thing together and whenever they got in trouble they stood up for each other.
13 years later down the line, her father is still working with NASA but he doesn’t go on space missions anymore, but Peaches has gone to university and now has the position which her father previously occupied, she’s already being on 15 missions to space. Jessica is still in university and their mother already had 10 books published and she is now one of the world’s top physicist.
The event that changed everything for peaches happened on her 25th venture into space with crew, they were on the mission to a distant star Lacaille 8760 when something happened, it was going all well until they reached the threshold and the gravitational pull of the planet started pulling there spaceship in to itself. Eventually they crash landed and the ship’s system jammed and started malfunctioning.
Info on Lacaille 8760:
Lacaille 8760 (AX Microscopii) is a red dwarf star in the constellation Microscopium, the microscope. Although it is slightly too faint to be seen without a telescope, it is one of the nearest stars to the Sun at about 12.9 light years distance. It was originally listed in a 1763 catalog that was published posthumously by the French Abbé Nicolas Louis de Lacaille. He observed it in the southern sky while working from an observatory at the Cape of Good Hope.
In the past Lacaille 8760 has been classified anywhere from spectral class K7 down to M2. In 1979 the Irish astronomer Patrick Byrne discovered that it is a flare star, and it was given the variable star designation AX Microscopii. As a flare star it is relatively quiet, only erupting on average less than once per day.
At first glance everything looked okay when they got out of the ship to investigate and observe, but after a few minutes something started picking them off one by one until there was only peaches left, she tried to stay alive and survive for as long as she could but somewhere along the path she fell into a ditch filled with an unidentified liquid. It was liquid but not as light as water, it was thick and sticky. A few days and months went by and then a year, then 4 years. After giving up hope of finding her, her family is finding it difficult to move on.
Jessica has already finished university and is now a quantum physics scientist. Her father still works with NASA but the has been promoted the secret sector that makes sure the public doesn’t know what the government doesn’t want them to know. Her mother is now a highly respected professor in her field. This situation affected them in different ways, the father the most to be specific. Her father started snicking off to a secret fight club of the super powered and non-super powered beings. He won most of his fights but when the losses no one is save so, he goes to his office and locks himself up.
Years went on, but eventually the liquid that peaches was submerged in dried up into her skin. This liquid was no ordinary liquid, it contained chemicals that give the planet the power to protect itself. Once the liquid was absorbed by the skin, peaches started experiencing episodes and started having blackouts.
After she mastered the ability to create force fields. This power also came with great intelligence, so she assemble the ship and made it impossible for earth radar to pick up the signal. She returned to earth and went back home where her family where happy to see her and overtime she learnt of her father’s secret and she started going to the tournaments with him and she stopped working for NASA. Jessica took her father’s position in NASA after he retired. Peaches is still seeking more ways to push her powers to the full potential.
