Well, if you haven't noticed on my RHG page, my character's pose is a sort of mix between Shotokan Karate's frontal stance and fighting stance (as my sensei called them).

I also like drunken style (it looks like so much fun) and I might do a drunken animation at some point

I did judo and karate once and, after many years, I realized martial arts aren't that useful
what matters it's just beating the shit out of them, doesn't matter how :)

I studied Taekwondo judo juijittsu muy thai boxing as well as wing chun. What I have come to learn is that to a point you are correct because many people aren't man or woman enough to simple have a good old fist o cuffs fight any more most people use guns or blades or weapons. But there is a merit to martial arts that many peope do not see and that is control. Being able to pull your punches the practice of restraint and prediction of enemy movements. I tend to personally lead more towards a boxers stance but tend to like to fight in close with muy thai clinch and judo throws and counters . to close distance i like using TKD kicks and wingchun trapping techniques. So my style is all over the place.

To say that boxing is just a sport is actually false because boxers have to register their hands as lethal weapons. Boxing was not orginally a sport it was a form of self defense and a way to kill some one with your bare hands actually. also JKD is not a martial art, it is a concept and philosophy that bruce lee never finished. the "bruce lee side kick" is based out of TKD and the one inch punch is based out of Wing Chun. just saying and if you don't believe me you can check the history books Bruce Lee was the student of Ip man who taught Wing Chun. JKD is Bruce's attempt at trying to form the Formless martial art which he never accomplished due to his death however it has been realized in the form of MMA.

Yeah I know, but boxing dont belong to the martial arts, its a fighting style used in deadliest competitions.
To be honest most of the martial arts have the philosophie and hallucination shit ,in the other hand Boxing is strict badass deadly fighting without any shit:"The best will win, there is no luck in boxing"

Before I became involved in animation, I started Tae Kwon Doe when I was about 5-6. From then on until 10 or 11, I stopped at black belt due to my parents having no time to drop me off. Once I became involved in animating several months after the end of Tae Kwon Doe, that's when I start inputting the style of Karate and Tae Kwon Doe into my videos. Today, I would put in the style of dynamic TKD [ the gymnastics look ] and the choreography of karate.

From what I've seen in animations thus far (bar Hyun) there have been 0 fighting styles actually implemented into any fight animation. It's all random punches and kicks with occasional throws/grabs that are generated at random with little to no tactical influence. Either that, or all fighting styles look the same.

Tbh, unless you know some form of martial arts, your stick figure is a brawler. It may look like its martial arts, but its not.
Im sure those people that know some martial arts can try to animate it.I saw Terkoiz rushed 5 part, that guy looked like he was boxing,
but im not sure if Terkoiz can do that.

I dont know any ma, so I animate brawlers who look like they know shit.

And I like kung fu.

The Fighting Style i use is Tambinnsuknuii, Its an Ancient Art that combines Kendo and CQD(Close Quarters Combat) Ive Been doing it for at least 5 years. Ive Been to over 8 Kendo tourneys and i won 6. I just got into Taijutsu so im a bit of a noob per-say. I have spent years in my life learning these styles and which result in me fucking up my back.

And usually Me and Xero would Spar from time to time, And He Loses, Alot, But In all Fairness He has not trained in awhile
