It's time for me to step down from being a moderator. The exam results I got recently weren't as good as I'd hoped for, so I'm going to have to make up for them this semester. I also have a dissertation to write, and I'm spending more than 24 hours each weekend at work. I simply don't have time to give StickPage the attention that I should as a mod.
Not to mention, it's been (almost exactly) three years now. My banhammer has so many notches in it there's very little hammer left. It's time to give someone else a turn. Our list of permanently banned members is 1558 long, of which I banned 740 myself. I can't see the numbers I used to be able to see when I was an admin, but I'm fairly sure my total mod actions are measured in tens of thousands. Incidentally, if anyone tries to pull Rule 13 on me you will become another statistic. Remember Rule 7.5: Zed can do whatever the fuck he wants. Also I asked Jeff and he said it was ok because it's kind of a news thread.
I'm sure I'll still be around from time to time. At the very least I'll be here during the summer holidays. Directly or indirectly, this place has probably been one of the biggest influences on my life for the past four years and I've made a lot of friends here. That said, looking through the mod applications last month and barely recognising anyone was a bit of a wake-up call. There's a new generation of Paigans now and they should probably be moderated by someone who knows them.
I wanted to leave with an animation, but I didn't have time to make the big one I wanted. Instead I'm going to finish with the first stickman I ever made move.
