Lol good start for my new-ish account. It's Poutine Salad by the way, Scarecrow. I dont know the password and the email address is fuckered also.
I dunno why i felt the need to post seperate threads. Used to the hip-hop forums I guess, they frown upon posting threads with lots of links, you end up getting zero feedback.

oh hey, always nice to see a familiar face. i'm not big on hip hop, but i'll listen through one or two of them just for you man.

listening through "the flames get higher" - vocals are clean and good quality, sounds like you have some good flow going on there. my biggest qualm with this is that the backing instruments (beat, whatever that other sound is), while they are well suited, got really repetitive after a while. then again, most hip-hop seems to be like that, which is why i don't generally listen to it.

"chances" - vocals seem a bit quiet, but other than that it's just got the same issues as the previous song (although you mixed it up a little here and there).

seems to be the same issue with "blinded" also, but i didn't listen all the way through this one.

i understand rap is also largely about poetry, and i wasn't really paying attention to what was being said. but i think if you want to stand out, you should try and add a bit more rythym and melody to it (not necessarily with your vocals, i'm talking more about the backing instruments)... that way people won't so easily "get bored of listening to a guy talk" and be able to listen for the sake of musical appeal also. that is to say, you'll appeal more to people who aren't really interested so much in what's being said, like myself.

you dig?

I'm sure theres not too many of us left eh?

I dig, I had nothing to do with the production of any of the beats except for chances. Hip hop is just like that, I understand some people dont like it for that reason. It's all good.

yeah, i get that hip-hop is like that, it just seems like all the artists are against including any form of rythym for some reason? makes no sense to me, it's unnecessarily limiting the genre/individual artists.
