Please note I put ghosts in speech marks because anything here doesn't have to be what you 100% believe to be ghosts. Nor do you have to believe in ghosts or spirits etc to post in this thread.

We've all had those scary moments in our lives when sometimes the first thing to come to mind is ghosts. Most likely they aren't (in my opinion), but I'd like to share one I've had and has been happening a long time and any you may have had.

This is quite long and a little upsetting. (Click to Show)

What about you? Have you ever had any strange ghost-like experiences such as this?

I can't say I've had an otherwise major experience like that (Considering that all the "ghosts" experiences I've had were pretty minor. eg. Wind closing door, stuff falling, etc).
Maybe your body kind of simulated the feeling in which the cat climbed on your bed, and you're just used to feeling that.
It was an interesting read (Y U no tell me on skype? :c)

Well, Its a long Story but ill make it to the point, When i first moved to Florida Me and Xero found this rock. This rock contained something in it, But it was hard to tell, So we cracked the rock open, A sense in the room lit up quick, I started to fell Depressed,A few days later we took the rock parts and hid it in a Remote forest, I kept track of the the rocks, and day after day the rocks moved closer and closer together. no animal was doing it i could tell, I still don't know today what was in that rock but it wasn't human.

I was an adopted child as my parents and older brother all died in a tragic car accident when I was less than one year old, so I never knew what they looked like.
When I was told by my adopted parents, I was told the next day that I could learn more about what happened to them and who they were in a private little talk and a visit to the graveyard they were buried in with a psychiatrist as I was struggling to cope with hearing about it.
When me and the psychiatrist arrived, he said he'd show me the way, but then I had this very odd feeling overcome me, I felt a grip on my each of my hand which both felt really different like two different people, then I started walking in a certain path. I felt like I was being guided by something, like a child having both his hands held by his mum and dad and being showed something new, and I soon came to a stop, and there was 1 grave with 3 names, Jack Tamen II, Lyla Tamen and Jake Tamen, all died in a car accident. You can probably guess these were my parents and my older brother. Whenever I think back I think of it like my parents were showing me the way to the gravestone, when I first started to go back to visit I felt I was being guided to them. But now I know the exact way.

Dude, that's fucking deep.
I really couldn't fathom how that experience would be like.

I wouldn't consider anything that I found strange as a "ghost" experience, although, there is a camp that I go to every summer with my boy scout troop (yes Im a boy scout deal with it) usually at night, whenever you walk up the trail, there will always be someone going down the trail. (Its not some random ghost looking person, its actually someone who looks like a boy scout) and the next morning, you wouldn't see that person anywhere during assembly

@tamen, damn man, that's real deep

@Tamen : Man, that is just.... deep. If I were to be you, I'd be traumatized, confused, but relieved and kinda happy. But I'm not gonna continue on with that.

When I was 13 years old, [ I'm currently 15 ], our family moved into the basement floor/1st floor of our home to make room for guests living upstairs. Things were calm, steady, and quite dark in light. It's been about several weeks until one night, I woke up, feeling as if something was watching me and I didn't feel tired. My dad was still sleeping next to me [ Because we only have 2 rooms in the basement, my sister [ she was 12 ] and my mom share a bed while me and my dad share another bed ] and has no idea I was awake. I didn't know what time it was, but I guess it was around 1:33 AM. I fumbled around in my bed, trying to get into a comfortable spot, until I looked towards the door.

You know those black figures that looks like a little girl with long fuzzy hair? Yeah. I saw one. Right in front of me. Not at eyes-close, but really close. It was just there, staring into me, and boy was I surprised. I couldn't move, I was sweating a lot, my head felt like it was about to explode, and my heart was just beating so damn fast. It was probably about a full minute until I could finally blink. Once I did, it just vanished. I still couldn't move for a little bit, until I regained my movement and hid under my bed sheets.

That was just one "ghost" experience I had in my house. I had another one after 2 weeks living in the basement. Coincidently, it was around the same time I woke up with the first "ghost" experience. Though this time, I didn't look over my bed sheets, knowing that if I did, I would end up looking face to face with the little girl again. A short while later, I started hearing a faint giggle and crying somewhere in the basement. At first I thought it was my sister for that she would usually have such dreams that actually get her to laugh out loud or cry. But the noises were getting closer to where I was. I tensed up and I [ no homo ] grabbed my dad and brought myself close to him for comfort. Once it was at the moment where the giggling was right over us, it stopped. I was still tense and hugging my dad, until I heard it say, "Wake up, daddy. Let's play~" in Korean. At that point, I just woke up. It was day time.

After these two "ghost experiences" I never got them again until we moved maybe 3-5 months later.

That is a nice experience. Black figures like that sometimes go under the term "Shadow people". I have a ton of experiences I'd like to share with you guys but not until later. I'm not really comfortable right now. My experiences are very traumatizing and have caused permanent problems for me.

I caught one on tape. It scared the crap out of me, i was fimli g a corner of a bathroom because me and sone friends heard weird noises, we decided to get closer and i started the recording, then suddenly from the shadows in the corner, something like a man comes our from the wall.

We just gtfo from there really quick. Then at home, my mom recognized that man, he got hit by a car and died outside that gym (where the bathrooms were placed)

If i find the video I'll post it here.

Wow, you all have really interesting and deep stories! I actually had an experience not too long ago, I know it was probably my mind and eyes playing tricks on me since it was late at night and I was sleepy, but anyway...

Not too long ago I was sitting in my room trying to get to sleep, I can usually fall asleep quite fast but for some reason I was having troubles that night. I got up to get a glass of water, looked in the mirror and... it was me. Got ya didn't I? Anyway, I drank the glass and went back to bed, attempting to fall asleep again. I rolled around a bit, stared at the ceiling, counted sheep, and nothing worked. All of a sudden, I got this really weird feeling like something was watching me... I got really tense, I started sweating, and I was scared out of my mind and I didn't know why. A little sweat got in my eyes so I blinked, and BAM. There was this intense, bright flash of light that only lasted a millisecond, kind of like when you blink really hard and then open, and its bright for a moment and you see stars. Just before the flash completely faded away, I could have sworn I saw the silhouette of a girl with black hair staring at me at the very edge of my bed. I'm sure the whole bright flash and silhouette thing could be explained by me maybe blinking to hard and by pure chance it happened to look like a little girl, but I can't really explain the feeling of dread and fear that I had beforehand...

and find that vid Camila, that would be so wicked to see :O

I don't believe in ghosts, I think the mind and the world are both immensely complex mechanisms that can produce the most vivid of imagery that are still just figments of your imagination. I also think people are quick to fill in the unexplained with "ghosts did it" because it's a lazy reason that somehow everyone will accept. That being said, for the sake of this topic, the weirdest most unexplained occurrences for me are as follows:

1. When I was 9 or 10 I was up late in my room watching TV. I was lying on the floor, and my beautiful long flowing hair was splayed across the floor. I remember being kinda tired but mostly alert, but still lost inside the TV program I was watching. At one point my vision went hazy very suddenly and I heard someone shout-whisper my name into my ear, followed by what felt like someone stepping on my hair. This was a tiny bedroom and I was alone in the dark, with only the glow of the TV lighting up my surroundings. I shot up and immediately turned on the lights. Nothing. There was no sleep for me that night.

2. In 2008 when I first met my current girlfriend she had a lot of problems sleeping when she was home. She was in college at this time and lived out of town for the most part, but when she was in town for visits she would get nervous and end up on their living room couch every night. She would insist that there was something in her closet and whatever it was would mess with her while she was sleeping. She never mentioned any specifics to me, just that she couldn't ever sleep in that room. This bothered her mom who was being a mom and passing it off as an overactive imagination. I must also admit that being in college I didn't expect her to be so vehement about this thing and it was a little off-putting because it seemed like the work of a child's mind, and that no one in college would truly believe in ghosts, let alone claim they have interactions with one every night. Despite what I thought, I made sure to be a good boyfriend and stick by her for it.

One night I slept over, and expected to sleep in her room. I'm not sure why, I guess it didn't cross my mind at the time. She was a little hesitant but I pushed for it so we ended up sleeping together in her room. In the dark. I remember what happened next very vividly, as I really wasn't expecting it. While we were lying and cuddling I could feel something just brushing my toes which were sticking out of the blanket, like someone had their hand down there and was lightly sweeping it back and forth across the tips. I thought it was weird, maybe it was the wind from outside or air from the vents. We sat in relative silence trying to fall asleep when the feel got more pronounced. I started thinking that it couldn't be air, so I assumed it was my girlfriend doing it with her own feet.

Then during a sudden moment of clarity, I realized it couldn't be her because not only was she dead still, but she was at an angle that wouldn't let her do that. Just as this realization crossed my mind, I felt something full on grab my foot really hard and then let go, which caused me to jump up and shout "OK, we're going down stairs," which my girlfriend quickly agreed to without question and we left the room ASAP and spent the rest of the night down stairs, on her couch. I told her what I felt, and she looked visibly shaken. She then revealed to me that she experiences the same thing when she sleeps in there. The toe touching and feet grabbing. She had never told me this before, and was able to perfectly describe the sensation. Maybe we were just being agreeable 'cause it was an intense situation, but I've never really been able to explain it away.

A ghost experience that happened to me. When I was younger, I heard a weird beeping noise that lasted for like two minutes. It sounded like it came from my toy bin. My family and I could never find what it was. The weird thing was, it always happened at 9:45. EXACTLY 9:45, every single day. You can judge for yourself if you think it's paranormal or not. I was just terrified of this when I was younger. I adapted to it over time.

I'm always was hearing thumps and thuds all around my house but I mainly ignored. until on night I had a freind over to sleep over and we kept hearing as if though somebody was walking outside in the living room like footsteps. I know it couldn't have any of my family members because me and my friends were the last one to go into my room so as we were listening and peeking note it was all dark a quater of the hallways and everything in the kicthen in living room my friends says their is somebody out their and I'm looking and I don't see anyone and I didn't believe him but the second time he told me my refrigorator door open and closed and as the door closed I saw the shape of a man or possibly women don't know walk out into my living room. The was the scariest shit I ever experienced. in case you guys think it was just one of my family members that just went out their we were the last people to leave the living room and turn off all the lights. Plus I could tell when people walk out of their rooms because the door are squeaky as shit.
