I started creating an animation using Flash 8, however, when I imported my song I realised that the music plays much faster then usual. I had a quick look on the internet but I couldn't really see anything.
The file format is .wav, I tried .mp3 but it wouldn't import for some reason, saying that it couldn't read them.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Also, why do I need my posts to be approved by a moderator all the time?

Did you edited your song before import it ?. I had the same problem with one of my songs and it was because of that. Try to dowload it again, is the only solution I can think of right now. Also it's really rare that flash accepts an mp3 file. It mostly supports wav files.
And about your posts, when you have a few quantity of them, they have to be approved to make sure that you're not posting spam and thing like that, you'll be able to post nirmally when you get more posts.

I've had the same problem before.
One of the solutions was to convert them a second time, maybe using audacity to export them will help.

Doesn't frame rate effect the speed of the music?Im sure it does. One time when I had the frame rate at 24, the music waves on the timeline was longer. But then when I changed it to 30 fps, the music waves became shorter and more compact.
Meh, It could have an impact and could not.

I edited the song using audacity, just to trim it down a bit, but i aslo tested it with the full song and there was still the problem. I dont think its the fps because i tried its at 30 25 24 12 fps

I don't understand how that's possible, if you increase the frame rate then more frames would play in the duration of the song, meaning the waveform would stretch to fit a larger number of frames.
if it didn't stretch, then there would be a difference. but either way you aren't helping anyone by guessing. he's looking for answers, if you don't have one then don't post.
@shy, what's the error that you get when you use a .mp3 file? those are usually preferable to .wav files in Flash, it's odd that you can't import one. also, what are your audio export settings?
