Nice Super Saiyan Goku I love how you drew veins on his muscles, makes it look realistic.
the bottom of the hair could use a little work though.
Which bottom of the hair, is it where the hair and his forehead connected? if it's that then yes, could use a little more work
but i feel like there's no need because the whole piece of this is already a little too much work and besides, my partner left
so there is just no need to make it super fancy anymore LOL, though even if there is, it's not much and not necessary, but i'll take that :)
I think the shading is too much. Also, it's kinda weird how his face is whiter than his body. His lower bottom also looks absurd.
No, i wouldn't say it's too much, to me it looks okay, maybe it's just because the shadings are a little too dark, but hmm what do you mean by absurd? XD
This may just be my opinion, but your shading of the clothing is off. His outer gi should be darker than his skin (orange vs light peach), and his under short should be the same shade as his belt (which looks most accurate). As for the rest of the shading, it is quite nice, giving off a realistic look without overemphasizing much. I will admit that the facial shading does in fact appear off (like there is a flashlight straight in his face) since the rest of the shading shows more shadow than light.
Still, this is a magnificent piece of work.
yes i kind of agree with you on that about the shadings and colors, but at the same time, i also would like to say that this was done on paper and i totally
dont have those advantages to prevent them. When drawing on paper you just never know unless you actually have a reference on there to keep everything right
and accurate, unlike me, i didn't used anything nor reference on this one so some of the things here might not be as accurate, like lets say the shadings and color for example.
but honestly, how would you know that orange is a little darker or lighter when you desaturated it? you wouldn't know it right? if you dont have any reference on hand to follow,
unless you use programs like Paint Sai, Or Flash to desaturate them and see how they acutally work, but you see, on paper you dont have that option, you can't desaturated them to set
an example, and that's why i couldn't prevent it,
though you're kind of right, i also kind of disagree too LOL, because those things only come into play if they were or the picture was actually in colored and lets sat you desaturate them,
then you might see the difference between the color value comparing to the desurated color value, but if you just draw it completely on paper with no color then for me,
i would say its not necessary, and they won't have that effect on them, i mean not like if you have to, i know its good to know that but it's not mandatory if it's on paper
with no color, i get your point "Shaq-of-All-Traders", :)
