are bans in irc permanent. If not how long do they last?

There is no official set dictation over irc banning.
How long you are banned is up to the one who banned you. They may also tie your banning to the forum; banning you from here as well.

Just sometimes. Everything is up to the person that ban you. All of the bans are "permanent" because they don't disapear automatically after sometime.

But if the person that bans you decides to unban you after a week or a month is up to him.
