View Profile Don't mean to sound pretentious or anything (an honest question), but do we actually have pivot animators who are consistently able to give helpful critique? And if we do, do we have enough?
not at all.
I feel that i am one, seeing that the past few days have lead me to it, but that's just my thinking.
Some that have helped and CnC'd in the past barely stop by anymore.
I have Pivot animations, but I don't post them here.
PROBLEM SOLVED.
Its not all that easy for others. Some don't even know about other pivot sites.
Even if they do some are treated harshly elsewhere for being the level of skill they are.

View Profile I'm willing to criticize and post animations, but I'm afraid the Pivot Community on SP is dying.

it's true. Some animators that started pivot for the first time that actually had great potential have already left because of inactivity and not being noticed.

View Profile Although I agree that the pivot section is a waste of space now, there are still a few animators that use pivot. If you remove that section where do you expect us to post our anims? Im pretty sure pivot wont pass well as a flash or eztoon anim.

I'm not in for deleting the section, I never wanted that. I'm just trying to find out what can be done to help the problem.

Well there's your problem. If there aren't any experienced pivot users who are available to give critique, then no matter what happens this will eventually fail. So unless the SP pivot community are willing to be consistently active and help each new pivot member whenever they can, the best solution I can think of is trying to invite a good number of experienced pivoteers to SP who are willing to be active enough and give good advice.
If we can't do that, then I think the best solution is just to redirect pivot members to other sites like DD.

I
am an experienced pivoter. I was just saying that their aren't as many around as there used to be. If I misread your post I'm sorry.
But you are right, something has to happen. I've been talking to other good pivoters about it, hopefully more will come.
I still like the idea of combining sections, its a good idea. Most likely not everyone would agree though.

I know you are, but that isn't my point. Even if we had the best pivot animators in the world, there's no way five users, much less one user, could possibly help every new incoming pivoteer, unless of course all of you guys are willing to be active and critique as often as you can. I know that you guys have lives outside of SP, so I'd say that this probably isn't the preferable route.
