well everybody has own opinions of course you liked you'r anim better cause you made it, so whatever it sorta sounds like you are saying my animation was bad if you say it that way.

To be honest, I don't think I can vote for either of you. In my opinion, these two animations were neck and neck for me. You two have some work to do but nothing a little practice can help improve.

+ clearer what happens
+ Was more exciting
= i used tutorial effects
- was not so smooth

Yours
+ music was better
+ Fairer battle
+ bit funnier i guess
- foot placement was everywhere
- didn't finish effects
- ending was not clear to me

and poseidon. Watching animations doesn't give you as much information compared to you being experienced. Im just saying that using effects cannot be negative. At least i got around to using them........

Hey now, giving yourself an evaluation isn't all that effective. There's always a bias inside of your head whether you try and suppress it or not. As for your whole "at least I used effects" thing, your effects weren't even that great. I'd rather see an animation that only contains the basics but is actually decent than a mediocre one fluffed up with half-decent, well, distractions.

One of the most bigheaded things I have ever read, ever. I think Sami's was more exciting. Also you forgot a lot of your own flaws. For example your stiffness that needs work. A lot of re-sizing. Also Kind of boring. Also just learn to take CnC a bit better. Just because "you" thought it was better, does not mean it is.

Alright alright. You both need to practice more. Doesn't matter if it has FXs or not, the overall animation of them was still low. If you're going to do a speed battle do it for FUN, no need to take them so seriously. You guys BOTH need to work on the fundamentals such as easing, stringing moves together, foot placement, etc. You guys are too caught up in winning a pointless poll.

Whoever animated Cowslay: The stick started on the line but then moves into the middle. If it starts on the line the animation should stay there, if it starts inbetween the line and the bottom of the stage it should stay in that area. Plus I have no clue what happened at the end.

Whoever animated Fluo: The stick's spine is very stiff, and alot of the times they're static (not moving). The effects didn't make that much sense either.

SOO, Both of you keep practicing. If you're just starting try to not animate with any time constraints on yourself so you can put effort into the animation instead of rushing it to meet the deadline.

Isnt that what the vote is based on. And even if you think its biased, everyones vote will be who knows either of us.....
