I'm half hoping this is just a really greatly planned out joke and half wanting it to be a possible idea.
Lol hey guys wouldn't it be fucking hilarious if this was legit and after like 3 years of settling down Stone went broke and decided to merge with Newgrounds?

pretty much, yeah. animating stick figures is a choice made due to a lack of skill and/or laziness for virtually everyone who gets into it.

the only difference is whether or not you acknowledge that.

Show me a recent stick figure animation you made.

Has anyone even attempted full body?
Seriously It's bull shit that people like Mike think this is just shattering the community and everything "we've worked on". IF anything it will make RHG even better and look a lot more professional because actual committed, serious, and dedicated animators will be able to have a special spotlight for their animations and get more praise for their animations. I don't think people jump start potential animating careers by animating stick figures all their lives. Come on seriously what the fuck guys all this is doing is separating the weak and the strong. I've been wanting more harsh standards on RHG's and Clans but this is more than enough.

I doubt that would actually occur if you ask me
And that would probably have much more opposition

And may I point out, people came to FA and SP to view and share STICKFIGURE animation.

that's the reason people came to Stickpage for the 9-10 years before you guys showed up. RHG has only been part of stickpage for the last year, so all of the whining about how "this is STICKpage" is a little ridiculous. especially since you'd all identify with FA instead at any other time.

I think a good idea would be if you cant do full body make your own sprite sheets and use that. PROBLEM SOLVED!

The irony is, im not really that bad at Fullbody, ill admit, ive tried it, I actually consider myself quite good.

Its just Stickfigure animation isn't just like, a lower key of animation, its actually a genre. You can go a lot of places to animate fullbody
And I bet if you wanted, you could work out a "Fullbody RHG Battle" And nothing would happen!

We shouldn't be forced upon the users. Like legit.

Jesus people, it's not the fucking end of the world just because RHG is going full-body. You can still animate with stick figures. It's obvious that Jeff and Stone have given this a lot of thought, and I'm sure they knew that they would get a knee-jerk reaction from this.

Just chill and we'll see how this turns out.

Man that would be hilarious. However.
I think skipping right to fullbody is bad.
it's like: You must be THIS good to have an RHG.
This will just make it so that people make a system just like this somewhere else.
in fact.
Crazy Jay has this stick figure that represents him. you know the black guy with the red bandanna
it just leads into all of us having those little guys be our RHGs.
people will do this elsewhere. the guys that will stay and do fullbody, (such as myself. i'm buying a tablet soon so I wanted to start drawing anyway.) will make their RHGs
the people that want stick figures will have their "RHGs" represent them instead.
it will just make the RHG system a hell of a load smaller.
OR it's a joke. it is april fools.
hell youtube did it too XD

I can see why everyone is having such a huge reaction to this but come on guys... is it really that bad? Think about how much faster you can improve, how much more you can do with this style of animating. Its not the end of the world just like Skyshark said, and i know its a little daunting but we can do it. Just like how hard it was to start animating with stick figures.

Stone, I'd really hope this is an April Fools prank because I have no time for fullbodies... Like, It's just too hard to animate.

I'd be honest I like the new RHG system, but making our RHGs into fullbodies seems a bit... Unfair for me too? In my opinion, this will be a thousand times better if RHGs will remain as sticks...

But I'd really wish that fullbody thingy is just a prank... Tho it sounds silly, I'll cross my fingers. And I'm happy Fluidanims is coming back... :3

So what you're saying alot of these stick animations don't require a shit ton of time and effort with mouse? So what if you have to do more work? Boo fucking hoo. But like you said in your quote you have the complete option to get the fuck out and go somewhere else. I'm pretty sure it'd be more productive than whining about how hard things are and annoying other members.

It's a lot easier to do, also to learn how to do it. and it's not a "so what?" only. It's not only "more work". It's a damn lot of more work. sticks are sticks, just a line for each limb. On fullbody you have to draw muscles, hands, foots... the head it's no more a circle. the head have it own shape, wich also have nose, eyes, eyebrowns... it's a lot more difficult than drawing just a line for a leg, and one line for an arm and a circle for the head. Also, on fullbody you have to re-draw everything on each frame... the whole body.
My point is: I'm not saying i don't want to improve. I'm not saying i don't want to do more work. I'm saying that it's too hard to start to animate fullbody when most of people can barely animate sticks with a decent quality. People will get frustrated, will give up on this. It will be freaking hard for eople without a tablet. If most of people can draw a decent body by their own on a piece of paper, what makes you think they will do it with a mouse?

A LOT of people will quit. That's for sure. If you say "U HAV THE CMPLET OPTN 2 GET THE F*** OUT ND' GO SUMWERE ELSE" then even more people will get the f*** out and you will have no people on the community. I'm glad you're not the one that manages the page, because if you were, this page would have sunk really long ago.

I'll put it like this... i always wanted to draw manga. I'm pretty good at drawing. BUT. i only can draw copying other drawings. I tried a lot of times to draw bodies by myself, and all of my attemps to do it were just awful. Drawing bodies is NOT simple at all. And on top of that, you have to draw it a lot of times, on differents possitions and angles on each frame. It's not simple, at all.
