So I've been to the tuts section, checking out stuff that might be new for me. I found none. What I specifically want is a tutorial on effects, but I want an advanced one. I've already seen No.14's, it really helped. I'm talking about something like the effects in stickfigure spotlight 2 or miccool's animations. So if you can find me something or good enough to actually make me a tutorial or give advice (which I will be greatly thankful to), please do.

Danmarks video was pretty good.
If there's something in particular you're looking for hit me up with a private message especially if it's explosion related. I'm actually animating a massive explosion for my RHG battle right now that is going to probably take me a few days to animate. So if you want me to I'll record and give you links to myself animating the explosion from the smoke, to adding the flares, to shading the smoke and flares, to adding an array of moving particles, to adding certain things to give it a 3-D look and more. I'm probably going to record myself animating it but I won't be officially uploading it until I'm done.

I found this page some time ago http://flashfx.blogspot.mx/ actually I gave the link to DK some time ago :)
its a blog about animated fx, you can find a lot of tutorials there but what I actually like are the videos, professional fx animators are really talented people their work gives me chills.
BUT try to understand not to learn as Jombo and Miccool suggest (I think) and the best way to do it is from your own eyes, each one has a different interpretation of everything and that's what makes stuff interesting

right click > deselect play
right click > forward as necessary
OR
use a decompiler
turns pretty much anything into a tutorial

But isn't that like taking someone's work without permission.

Hmm.. A Decompiler, used to do that in my noob days, I don't know.. Is using Decompiler stealing someone's work without permission?

No one has to know. Muahaha. I guess it's nothing wrong with taking it and using it for your own purpoeses such as studying it, but if you take claim for that work - than it'd be considered stealing, copyright and that.
Also, Ahmed - DK has some great tutorials, his effects are really amazing.
On a different note, totally not related to topic - I'm sorry to post it here, but Ahmed doesn't seem to get my messages on his profile nor DA page and it's something I need to tell him in private.

If you want to do the advanced effects you see in videos like the Spotlights and Miccool's MicWizard, You will need to utilize with the movie clip properties and etc. such as the "Add", "Invert", "Overlay" and etc. All of them have their own specific use, so try testing out with several of them.

i mean use a decompiler to look at how it has been done... not to steal it.
that should be pretty fucking obvious though right???
