Hey guys, im kinda new to the stick forums. Ive been here maybe 5 times so far. I decided to make an account cause everyone seems cool and all. I needed some help with something, I'm making a movie and I need the screen to automatically go down because my movie extends below the box and im not sure how to exactly make it bigger. I cant really do it now because ive already made my movie. So I pretty much needed it to go down automatically without me scrolling down, if theres any way to do that. Sorry if I sound kind of newbie . Also I was wondering if theres any way to move frames maybe ahead so theres just a blank, I needed to make a title screen and Ive already made the beginning and everything. Thanks in advance.

Not too sure what you mean when you say move the frames ahead so there is a blank, but you want to set the dimensions. Set the height to a bigger value. Experiment until you get the perfect height.

shit, did you try to steal my name? im flattered.
anyway, i think the thing you have to do is set the height also. i think that's whats giving you trouble.

Your name is as common as smith in the US. Its not immatation.

If you mean to make the camera follow it, use a vcam. theres links in the flash and offcial tuts sections.

If you mean you made the ground last all the way down farther than you can see on the stage, even past all the grey and it just cuts off, then do this.

When you character gets down to that point in the movie and needs to go farther down, make a new keyframe on all layers, and just Push everything up in that frame, all the way up, including your vcam, [if you're not using a vcam now would be the time to add it in. The audience shouldn't be able to tell the difference, and you'll get more room to animate.

Hey thanks guys, I got the Vcam and I figured out how to get the zoom and all that going. My Vcam is on an action script, is there a way to lock onto an object for a certain amount of frames? Thanks.

No there is no way to make it "auto follow" something. Tweens work really well for making that easy though. And if you need it to curve, then make the tween a guided tween via a guide layer.

EDIT: I take that back there is an auto follow technique that you can use, but if you're making it for an animation its ALOT more work than doing it normally. Its more used for games where the thing you want it to follow doesn't change every frame.

I read your comment and was playing around with it and I finally got it! Thanks for all your help guys. I figured zoom + how to move at the same time, how to just zoom, and how to move individually. You guys helped alot and I appreciate that, Thanks again!

The question was already answered killeq. Let the thread die.
