I'm looking for a great art program. I've asked around and have gotten some answers, but I still don't know anything... I'm not even sure the correct Flash program for SOLELY art. I'm getting tired of using Autodesk Sketchbook because its use is mainly just for sketches... I need a new program so my art will be better for an art competition I am going to enter next year...

So what I'm looking for are great art programs for PC/Mac. If they cost money, please put the purchase price if possible.

Thanks a ton if you take the time to help me with this.

Hey, it's fine, at least you tried to help right? I have SAI (free) but I just don't like to use it... It's awkward... But I'll look more into it. Thanks though :)

Do people regularly check there for answers? I mean, there has been plenty of questions here that have already been answered there; I gurantee a whole clump of people don't even bother to look.

Everything gets jumbled up in a Q&A thread, but one thread for users to put useful softwares would be nice and helpful for all those aspiring artists or wanna-be's (me) out there. But it's a Mod decision...
