i dont know if this will work in photoshop
very simple noob tutorial:

in this tutorial I will state how to do the rectangular boxes in this
Image
(*just an example.. i will not show exactly how i made this)

if you want to add those rectangles to your sig it is a very simple procedure

1.start out with your 550x150 box or what ever.. this is your work station

2.fill it with anycolor you choose (note the variations in the color will change the out come of your rectangles)

3.begin brushing at will
Image

4.click filters>distorts>polar chords.. set circle depth in percent to 0
Image

5. *optional I sometimes add click artistic>cartoon to add a little black detail to it

6. *optional add more brushes

7. click filters>map>illusion and set the divisions to either 1 or -1
Image

viola! you have added these cool little squares that go great with grunge and technology brushes alike!

8. i have done what i have showed you so far minus the cartoon, and added a new layer which i have air brushed with some blood brushs and some metal spray brushes
Image

9.add another new layer and begin brushing away with grunge / explosion brushes mayber some fractals that go along with your sig
Image

10. get your render and resize it so i fits in your sig
Image

13.copy and paste it to a new layer in your gimp
Image

14. DONT ANCHOR IT YET! click tools>color tools> color balence and set it so it blends with your background
Image

15.anchor it..-_-

16.add a new layer if you desire and brush on it
17. click filters>text and add your name!

Photoshop is very different.
Doesn't work quite as it does in GIMP I'm afraid.

Before anyone asks, you get GIMP here.

http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html

Yes, you need to download GTK+ 2 for GIMP to work.

It's not nearly as good as your sigs, but it's something. Thanks again, dude!
