Where have I come from? People ask me that question all the time. Sometimes, even I ask myself. As far as everyone in our town can remember, I suddenly appeared at the door of the orphanage 15 years ago. They decided to call me Frost, for I appeared on a snowy winter night. I had been treated as an outcast for my whole life because of my strange appearance.
Even though we were all orphans, the other children’s parents were known by the whole town of Flyne. But I had stayed strong during all my years of solitude. I had secretly trained in archery since I was 4, and I was now the most skilled archer in the whole of the province of Archidonis.
I had been chosen as one of the Guardians of Knowledge. The Guardians of Knowledge are chosen from the strongest of each province to protect a mysterious entity known as The Magikus. Legends has that he is one of the Founders of our country, Inamorta, and he has managed to survive due to him casting a spell on all of the Founders that enabled them to live for millennia. Unfortunately, the other Founders; The Swordoa, The Archeros, The Spearkan and The Gigantikus, had all been killed by the spell because the spell was too powerful for their magic-free bodies. Only The Magikus had survived, yet even he had been weakened so much that he had to hide and rest for 5000 years to retain his former power. It is now been 3012 years since the Unity of the 5 Empires. I was originally very excited for my job, but I learned that I would never get to meet The Magikus, and that I would be isolated with only 4 other Guardians for the rest of my life.
I decided to quit. Had I known what would have happened, I would have stayed as a Guardian. But I did not, and the Supreme Committee decided to punish me. They sent me on a suicide mission to assassinate the Rebel Leader, a Magikill named Maroc, knowing that Magikill were one of the only fighters that could easily defeat an Archidon in combat. I had hoped that I would be able to succeed in the mission and bring back my honour, as I was the strongest Archidon alive. But no, in the end, Maroc froze me in a cocoon of ice and left me to die. Kind of ironic, given my name.
Strangely, I had somehow escaped death. Only now do I realize why… Anyhow, after several days, I was still alive, and the ice was melting. I was finally free! I could not go to the Rebels, after having attempted to kill their leader, nor could I return to Inamorta, for they would plan another impossible mission for me.
I decided to leave the region, and have recently heard tale of a wondrous place called the wRHG. It seemed as if it was a gladiator arena, the perfect place for someone of my skill. While I was searching for the arena, I had run out of arrows. I had heard of a huge mine and forge south of the province of Archidonis, and went there, even though it brought me painfully close to Inamorta. I reached the mine stealthily, stole some ore and made several arrows. I noticed that a few of the arrows were tinged with blue, while the others were completely black. I decided to see if they did anything special.
I located the wRHG, which was actually very close to the mine. On the way there, I used a blue arrow to kill a rabbit. Strangely enough, the arrow fell to the ground, and the rabbit was unharmed. Except for the fact that it couldn’t move a muscle.
“I see… arrows that can freeze their target.”
I quickly got a normal arrow and killed the rabbit for food. The next day, I traveled to wRHG and registered.
