Well, every unit is important. You just sometimes don't need it. I personally don't use shadow a lot, except if opponent has magikill. And I can always kill the magikill with my tanking speartons right away. Even though, the shadow is a much easier solution.

Albows. The only time I made one was on accident when I pressed 8 instead of 7 to get a Shadowrath. Haven't used an albow in roughly since I was at rating 1800.

I haven't used an albow in a while too. I just feel like I don't need them anymore. As they're easily countered by magikill, archers and giants.

I don't use Swords much. It's pretty weird. The only time I use them is for my first buys. I only have 1-2 per game, total.

Why so many people like to spam archers XD?

I use every unit. :P

But really though. Each unit has it's use and can be included in an army build. When in game, you have to adapt to your opponent's build, so every unit does get used.

Although I have been using archer less and less lately on medium & large maps. Too squishy.

I seldom use archer and shadow. I dont use archer because I mainly use alba, which is the 2nd tier unit for archer. Plus, its very vulnerable. And I dont use shadow because of lag. I cant time him properly. And If I have a bunch of spearton to kill mages, why would I train shadow?

I use shadows rarly, only to hunt down the enemys archer, merichs and magikills...
